On Thursday, CNN Newsroom’s Jim Acosta hosted former advisor to Vice President Mike Pence, Olivia Troye. Troye, a faux conservative, praised the Democratic Party while describing Trump as a “used car salesman.”

When viewing MSNBC’s coverage of the Republican National Convention, one is led to wonder why leadership would sideline Morning Joe, albeit briefly, but not the insane asylum airing on prime-time. “Historian” Michael Beschloss’s assessment of President Trump’s acceptance speech only serves to intensify that wonderment. 

CBS’s Stephen Colbert wrapped up his week of live reactions to the Republican National Convention early Friday morning by decrying the whole thing as “deeply, psychotically weird” because the party is trying to dismiss Donald Trump’s legal controversies as no big deal. Staunch Republicans may have loved President Trump's long speech on Thursday night, but it's easy to suspect that the journalists watching it were going to go beyond skeptical, like on PBS: "The initial calls for unity quickly gave way to attacks on Democrats, to a litany of falsehoods, to a string of insults."

On Morning Joe, MSNBC's Jonathan Lemire warns the MSM not to report Donald Trump's softer new tone. Says Lemire: "I do think we need a moratorium here in the media about Donald Trump's -- praising Donald Trump's new tone. That doesn't ever happen on this show, mind you."

Year after year, partisan “legacy media” outlets have churned out thousands of stories full of anticipation that the walls of scandal would close in on Donald Trump. Once again, a litany of Trump “legal woes” haven’t damaged his political standing.

One of the media’s general subthemes of the 2024 Republican National Convention is its revulsion at the idea of masculinity. Mention it and a mental gag reflex is triggered within pampered Acela types, which makes them spout all sorts of nonsense.

Watching countless hours of the 2024 Republican National Convention is quite instructive and serves tremendous purpose, to wit: to remind everyone that the cloistered Acela Media have nothing but utter contempt for significant portions of the American public.
