Hot off the presses! On this episode of the NewsBusters Podcast, Managing Editor Curtis Houck and I discuss a brand new Rich Noyes on NewsBusters about the broadcast networks omitting the political party connections of the prosecutors going after former President Trump. Hint: They’re connected to Democrats. We also talked about the return of The View after their summer vacation.
According to Rich’s findings, “93.3% of stories FAILED to identify Fulton County D.A. Fani Willis as a Democrat” and “88.4% of stories FAILED to identify Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg as a Democrat.” On top of that, “ABC’s World News Tonight and the CBS Evening News NEVER labeled Bragg or Willis as Democrats.”
Before we got to my favorite topic (The View), we delved into the renewed COVID hysteria of the morning newscasts of ABC, CBS, and NBC. Curtis walks us through his reporting on how the likes of CBS were trying to gin up enthusiasm for COVID vaccines again, even joking about trampling kids to get in line for them.
And of course, they couldn’t get enough information about the First Lady, DR. Jill Biden and her COVID diagnosis.
We rounded out the discussion with the return of The View and their cathartic and manic release of pent-up Trump hate they’d been storing since being on vacation. We look at my reporting about them directly blaming Republicans and Trump or the rain at Burning Man and their obsession with the 14th Amendment to bar Trump from running for president.
And their Wednesday suggestion that California’s homelessness crisis wasn’t a problem because they have the right Climate Change policies.
