While the sun still had to fully set, CNN wasn’t shy in being completely over the moon for Hillary Clinton as they dubbed her the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee and first woman to hold the title as “a watershed moment of the 2016 presidential race and in the history of American politics.”

Tuesday on MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, the eponymous host and Washington Post reporter Karen Tumulty painted Hillary Clinton’s career as one of tragedy and triumph, that included a rocky road of firsts that have always been achieved the “hard way,” and scorn overcome by “setting out, stumbling, picking herself back up, and grinding on.” Are you kidding me?

With MSNBC Live host Thomas Roberts holding serve from Santa Monica, California on Tuesday afternoon, he brought on none other than NBC News special correspondent and former California First Lady Maria Shriver to demand the American people “pause...to think about how this is historic and unprecedented” for Hillary Clinton to become the first female presumptive presidential nominee.

On Tuesday, all three network morning shows celebrated the news that Hillary Clinton had won enough delegates to become the presumptive Democratic nominee. At the top of NBC’s Today, co-host Savannah Guthrie heralded: “Making history. NBC News declares Hillary Clinton the presumptive nominee. The first woman in history to be nominated on a major party ticket.”

In what could be a preview of things to come, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee failed to have any voices in his corner on the latest round of Sunday talk shows broadcast by leading U.S. Spanish-language television networks Univision and Telemundo.

With Hillary Clinton on the verge of officially becoming the Democratic nominee for president, outlets such as the Washington Post and U.S. News are not holding back. “It’s Hillary; it’s History” and “For a generation of women pushing against the limits, a singular triumph” are two examples.
