On MSNBC's Morning Joe, after playing a Fox News clip of Shepard Smith reporting on the progress, or lack thereof, on building the Wall, Joe Scarborough says "in Shep we trust."

“Republican politics are returning America to a past where only the wealthy have access to safe, legal abortion,” Vanity Fair asserted in an article about abortion concierge services published Wednesday, titled “Is This the Trumpian Future of Abortion in America?”

On Joy Reid's MSNBC show, Tiffany Cross, co-founder of The Beat DC, says that Trump supporters suffer from a "willful layer of ignorance." In contrast, claims Cross, Democrats are a "much more intellectually curious crowd, open to ideas."

Joe Scarborough has come up with what could be the worst campaign slogan in American political history. On today's Morning Joe, making the case for Elizabeth Warren, Scarborough said: "At least she won't inspire mass shootings!" We say, run with it, Liz! Order a million bumper stickers today!

On Sunday's AM Joy on MSNBC, frequent guest Elie Mystal of AboveTheLaw.com made the kind of statement about a "majority of white people" that would be considered blatantly bigoted or racist if aimed at any other group, as he stated that it is necessary for Democrats to "destroy" whites who support President Donald Trump.

The third (and hopefully the last) season of Netflix’s Dear White People series began airing August 2 with ten half-hour episodes. The only remarkable aspect of this season is that it feels like it is just the same old, same old kind of stories. They pick up right where they left off in previous seasons mocking conservatives and Republicans. Frankly, it’s gotten boring.

Pop music diva Mariah Carey made Twitter waves Monday with a photo of the singer posing with America’s favorite former first couple, the Clintons, complete with a passive aggressive caption aimed at disparaging President Trump. Carey of course couldn’t pass up on the opportunity for a photo with Hillary and Bill and thank them for “everything [they] have done for the country.”

Reporters Reid Epstein and Jonathan Martin devoted 1,800 words on the New York Times Sunday front page to getting out the black vote against Donald Trump in 2020, in “Trump’s Words Fuel Racial Strife. The latest installment of NBC Nightly News’s “Justice for All” series (a series about criminal justice and reform), anchor Lester Holt complained about the case of Crystal Mason, who according to the Tarrant County, Texas district attorney, “knew she wasn't eligible to vote and voted anyway.” That’s right, NBC was upset someone was prosecuted for illegally casting a ballot.

Congressional reporter Carl Hulse enjoyed piling on Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell just a bit too much in Wednesday’s lead New York Times slot: “Pressure Mounts On Senate Leader To Secure Ballot – Some in G.O.P. CNN president Jeff Zucker was laughably understated in discussing his network's terrible ratings, telling The Washington Post "I think Trump has hurt our perception among Republicans to some degree." And CNN's own rampant bias had nothing to do with it? 

On July 25, Variety released an interview with Jamie Bell about his role as a neo-Nazi in the movie Skin. The award-winning British Billy Elliot star who recently featured in the Elton John biopic Rocketman, gave his comments about the current state of racism in the world, believing that white supremacy has been emboldened by President Trump and saying, "Trump leaves me hopeless.”

In an extended rant, Joe Scarborough calls Mitch McConnell "Moscow Mitch" no fewer than 14 times, with sidekick Donny Deutsch using the phrase twice.  Scarborough was angered that McConnell had blocked two partisan Democrat bills ostensibly seeking to promote "election security" in light of past and possible future Russian attempts to interfere with US elections.
