Kimmel Conspiracy Theorizes About Votes Not Being Counted

October 28th, 2026 9:53 AM

ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel appeared to admit on Tuesday that he believes history began yesterday. During his monologue, Kimmel cited the long-standing precedent of the DOJ sending observers to polling places around the country as evidence that the Trump administration may not allow the votes to be counted during next week’s midterm elections.

Kimmel began by urging his audience not to take a Democratic win for granted, “You know, we're exactly a week away from the midterm elections, which will decide whether Republicans retain control of Congress or whether it was stolen by a caravan of woke dog-eating transgender immigrants. The polls show Democrats have a strong chance of taking the House and very possibly the Senate. Although, I don't know. I don't know if I believe the polls. And I'll tell you something, after what happened to Guillermo on Dancing with the Stars, who the hell knows with these elections?”

Continuing to implore his audience to vote, Kimmel added, “Whatever the case, you must get out and vote. Every vote counts. Assuming the Trump administration allows the states to count the votes. We learned that the Department of Justice is going to send 1,000 staffers to observe poll workers as they count the votes and to counter that, democratic advocacy groups are planning to send thousands of their own volunteers to watch the watchers watch the people counting the votes, but why does it have to—I don't know. Remember the good old days when the weirdest thing about voting was the smell of the school auditorium?”

It is true that the number of DOJ staffers going to observe the election is a record-high, but the concept itself has been around for years. There is no reason to believe that the DOJ’s observers will be doing anything out of the ordinary, but the idea that they might helps liberals like Kimmel scare people into voting under the guise they need to vote in such large numbers that the results are steal-proof.

Here is a transcript fort the October 27 show:

JIMMY KIMMEL: You know, we're exactly a week away from the midterm elections, which will decide whether Republicans retain control of Congress or whether it was stolen by a caravan of woke dog-eating transgender immigrants. The polls show Democrats have a strong chance of taking the House and very possibly the Senate. Although, I don't know. I don't know if I believe the polls. And I'll tell you something, after what happened to Guillermo on Dancing with the Stars, who the hell knows with these elections?

GUILLERMO RODRIGUEZ: Yeah. They stole it from me, yeah. They stole it from me!

KIMMEL: Whatever the case, you must get out and vote.
