Last night, the evening news found time to talk about an airliner ordering pizza for passengers during a flight delay, but spoke not a word on a new report by Amnesty International detailing war crimes by the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas. The damning report released early May 27 detailed Hamas’ use of torture, kidnapping and murder on ordinary civilians during last summer’s Gaza conflict with Israel.
The Washington Post and BBC News reported on it but not ABC, CBS, or NBC. But it’s not that surprising since the networks join the majority of the lefty media in taking issue with calling Hamas “terrorists.” CNN’s Christiane Amanpour even audaciously called Hamas, “activists.”
The networks in particular have bent over backwards time and again to call Hamas “militants” instead of terrorists. The media has done everything in its power to minimize the vile acts done by the Palestinian group as a cover for their own bias against Israel.
Hamas was behind the kidnapping and subsequent murders of three Israeli-American teens last June, and even took credit for it. True to form, the three networks ignored Hamas’ guilt at the time.
The report from Amnesty International called “Strangling Necks” alleges that Hamas carried out a “brutal campaign of abductions, torture and unlawful killings” against its own people – Palestinians – who were accused of collaborating with Israelis during the 2014 conflict.
The report cited at least 23 citizens whom Hamas accused of associating with or helping Israel and were summarily executed.
Amnesty International called on the Palestinian authorities to denounce the acts of the known terrorist group publicly and criticizes authorities for not holding any one person accountable for these civilian deaths.
