Since when don’t judges blocking deportations go immediately to the top of A-block on legacy network newscasts? It turns out that there is not as much interest in covering a blocked deportation when it isn’t immediately useful as Resistance Porn. Case in point: the planned deportations of the family of the accused Boulder fire bombing jihadist. 

The legacy media largely omitted a major national security story with immigration implications: the thwarted smuggling of a “potential agroterrorism weapon” by Chinese nationals. The implications are staggering, and the omission is inexcusable.

In what appears to be a return to 2017 form, the media have reverted to desperately searching for Resistance figureheads in opposition to President Donald Trump that they may elevate and then desperately cling to. Case in point, ABC’s recent coverage of Harvard University.

The death of Texas teen Ava Moore, who was set to attend the Air Force Academy, was but the latest in a long trail of death and destruction at the hands of criminal illegal aliens allowed to enter into the country unabated. And in an awful but predictable omission, most of the major newscasts neglected to report this story.

The United States House of Representatives passed its “One Big, Beautiful Bill”, which seeks to renew the tax cuts first enacted in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, a significant plank of President Donald Trump’s economic agenda. But coverage on the legacy media newscasts was mixed, at best.

It appears that the legacy media have learned nothing from the release of the Hur tapes, and the release of Tapper/Thompson’s “Original Sin”. Faced with former President Biden’s devastating cancer diagnosis, and with the choice between investigative journalism or stenography, the media continue to choose the latter.

On the Monday Evening News, only one legacy media newscast mentioned the serious questions around the Biden White House while covering the former president’s cancer diagnosis. The others continued to pretend it didn’t exist. 

The arrest of Wisconsin Judge Hannah Dugan under charges of helping an illegal alien evade ICE arrest drew national attention, particularly on legacy media where the matter was presented as proof evident of an escalation by President Trump. But it appears that there is far less interest in covering the indictment of Judge Dugan in federal court.

With the imminent release of the first of what will surely be a legion of books authored by Legacy Media types on the obvious cognitive decline of President Joe Biden, there is a modicum of media self-interest in reporting on the book’s disclosures. But there remains a hesitancy to cover this issue at the Legacy newscasts.

The most Biden-sycophantic network newscast was unable to help itself on the day of the election of the first American pope. During a roundup of presidential reactions to Pope Leo XIV, correspondent Rachel Scott went to a tired but true hook: “Joe Biden, devout Catholic.”

The legacy media appear to be stuck in this doom loop where they deliberately omit covering certain stories after embarrassing themselves fawning over the latest immigration poster boy du jour whether it’s “Maryland Dad” or pro-Hamas Columbia activist Mohsen Mahdawi. The latest omission proves all the more embarrassing for the legacies.

With damning new evidence piling up in the case of deported MS-13 gangbanger Kilmar Abrego García and the media trapped defending his gang tattoos, there is a clear need for a new exemplar to promote against the perceived excesses of Trump immigration policy. Tonight, a new consensus poster boy may have emerged in Mohsen Mahdawi.
