In 16 days of coverage (February 8 - February 24) ABC, CBS, NBC (on their evening and morning shows) spent a total of 1 minute, 53 seconds citing specific dollar amounts that DOGE or President Donald Trump claimed to have saved the American taxpayer. 

ABC’s Trevor Ault went soft on those who showed up to support alleged UnitedHealthcare CEO assassin Luigi Mangione on Friday’s edition of World News Tonight. Instead of reacting in horror that such an alleged cold-blooded killer has such support, Ault portrayed his upcoming trial as a “cultural flashpoint.”

After a few weeks of Shock and Awe, the Resistance vibe has fully returned to ABC Whirled News Tonight. A goofy item by Chief White House correspondent Mary Bruce demonstrates that the media have no playbook for Trump except the one they ran in 2017.

In the early days of the Second Trump Administration, it appeared that ABC World News Tonight had taken time to reflect and reconsider their ways, toning things down from their wild subservience to Joe Biden. Well, the time for reflection has ended. And based on the network’s hysterical coverage of all things DOGE and Elon Musk, it appears that they’re back to their old ways.

The early successes of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) in exposing rampant waste, fraud and abuse throughout the federal government have left the left scrambling- including their allies in the media. The resulting derangement rendered ABC News a crisis spokesperson for the beleaguered Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).

The media are united in their purpose of trying to save government workers from the DOGE ax. Across the dial, each evening newscast devoted significant time to creating in their respective audiences an empathy for government bloat.

The Resistance Media continue to seethe over the Department of Government Efficiency’s (DOGE) march through the federal government, particularly through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). USAID coverage trod old and familiar tropes, seeking to elicit sympathy for the dying agency.

The Department of Government Efficiency’s decapitation strike against USAID over the weekend has caught the media off guard. Nonetheless, they are mustering a desperate response in hopes of saving the agency that embodies both the Deep State and the worst excesses of bloated government bureaucracy.

If there was any doubt that the Regime Media have fully transitioned back into Resistance Mode, one need look no further than coverage of the Office of Management and Budget’s pullback of its funding freeze memo.
