Fact-checking fact-checkers

How biased are the liberal "fact checkers" at PolitiFact? They threw no "False" flags at House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for suggesting Republicans were "trying to get away with murder....the murder of George Floyd." But Pelosi was granted a "Mostly True" for citing polling support for so-called "Dreamers."

“Independent fact checkers” can easily be mistaken for Democrats who don’t want you to remember Democrat History. USA Today though a “False” flag at a Facebook meme that the longest filibuster in American history was the Democrats blocking the Civil Rights Act in 1964. "Partly False," cried the newspaper, since it was only southern Democrats who filibustered! 

On Tuesday, PolitiFact demonstrated that Joe Biden now has his own "very fine people" misquotation. He never said "Antifa are courageous Americans." But he did misquote Trump on "very fine people" in the same video! And PolitiFact carefully avoided it....then and now. 

The Washington Post is promoting a new election-year tome from the "Fact Checker squad at the Post -- their chief Glenn Kessler and his lieutenants Salvador Rizzo and Meg Kelly. The title is Donald Trump and His Assault on Truth: The President's Falsehoods, Misleading Claims, and Flat-Out Lies.

PolitiFact keeps doing “fact checks” against conservatives that acknowledge that they’re using facts, but they’re still False because – well, they don’t like the way those facts are assembled. These factual facts aren’t making the right point. They’re “too narrow.”

AP's "Fact Check" team obsessively challenges the statements of President Trump, almost to the exclusion of other people in national politics. But are they checking facts, or opinions? On Saturday, they claimed Trump "stretched the facts or shredding them as he tried to make the best of a U.S. death toll surpassing 100,000 from the coronavirus" and other issues. Their "fact check" was actually…
