Washington Post media critic Erik Wemple angrily went after the Pulitzer Prize folks for fighting with Trump (instead of ignoring him) on why they gave a 2018 prize for reporting on Trump-Russia collusion. Wemple colorfully complained it “amounts to lunatic-appeasement of the high-maintenance sort.”

Christina Pushaw, the press secretary for Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, drew a long-awaited negative profile in The Washington Post on Wednesday morning. In the Thursday paper, the headline was “This press secretary makes sure reporters feel the burn.”

Wednesday’s White House press briefing wasn’t smooth sailing for Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre (as most if not all are for someone in way over their head) with Fox’s Peter Doocy and a select few others reporters who pressed her on the Biden administration’s disinformation campaign to redefine what a recession is ahead of what’s expected to be a dour second quarter number on Thursday.

The liberal media machine is kicking into overdrive to convince the American people not to believe their lying eyes on the economy. Don’t worry if the second-quarter GDP numbers are atrocious, the narrative goes. It doesn’t necessarily mean we’re in a recession.

In a conversation on Monday’s CNN Newsroom with host Ana Cabrera, Washington Post Opinion columnist Catherine Rampell refused to look at inflation or recession in a bad light. In fact, they refused to even admit we were possibly in a recession, according to the official definition it holds.

In the Trump era, the Washington Post 'Fact Checker' squad kept a gaudy list of President Trump's "lies and false statements" and even put together a book titled Donald Trump and His Assault on Truth. But under Biden? The same squad is rushing to Biden's defense, most recently in attacking the "RNC Research" account on Twitter.

When President Biden was diagnosed with COVID, suddenly The Washington Post motto shifted from "Democracy Dies In Darkness" to "We're Walking On Sunshine." Post columnist Leana Wen stood out with a piece on Thursday which began: "President Biden’s Covid-19 diagnosis is an opportunity for his administration to demonstrate the success of his leadership on the pandemic."
