New York Times Hollywood reporter Brooks Barnes made Tuesday’s front page with a petulant look at the Academy Awards and the Oscar-winning movie “Green Book": "While admired by some as a feel-good depiction of people uniting against the odds, the movie was criticized by others as a simplistic take on race relations, both woefully retrograde and borderline bigoted."

Apparently last night’s Oscars weren’t woke enough for some devout lefties. Despite jokes at the expense of Donald Trump, several mentions of the plight of immigrants, and of course some race-baiting from director Spike Lee, Daily Beast writer Kevin Fallon claimed that the show “made the case for its own irrelevancy.”

There’s a very good reason 81 percent of Republicans have said they won’t watch Sunday night’s Academy Awards, according to a new poll.
