Speed Kills Racial Profiling Study

September 3rd, 2014 9:59 PM
In an article about police shootings in last Sunday's New York Times (8/31), Michael Wines disputes the conventional wisdom about a disproportionate number of African-Americans being shot by police, saying there are no data one way or another. But Wines revives the canard about blacks being disproportionately targeted in traffic stops. There actually is a study for that.

Losing WashPost Tries Lame 'Majority Is Shrinking' Bias As Vast Majori

A football game that ends up with a score of 71 to 23 would be considered a wipeout. But when a poll shows that’s the margin of support for keeping the name “Washington Redskins,” the pro-censorship Washington Post tries to find a silver lining. On the day the NFL season begins, the headline on the front page of the Sports section was “Support for name still mostly strong: ‘Redskins’ still…

August 30th, 2014 6:38 PM
Some politicians have the same public image throughout their careers. Others at least try to give themselves a makeover (e.g., the “new Nixon” of 1968). In a Wednesday post, Esquire’s Charles Pierce claimed that for the past decade, we’ve had what amounts to a new Al Sharpton, and that “the transformation began when Sharpton ran for president in 2004.” Pierce noted Sharpton’s Tawana Brawley/…

Would It Kill You to Hire More Black Cops? Actually, Y

August 28th, 2014 9:41 PM
As the story of Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson's shooting of Michael Brown begins to look less clear-cut than we were led to believe by Brown's friend, Dorian Johnson, the "voices of oppression" on MSNBC now say the real issue is that there aren't enough blacks on the Ferguson police force. As Brown may or may not have said seconds before his death: I give up.

Gutfeld Calls Out Russell Brand for Lecturing Black Conservative on 'H

August 27th, 2014 3:38 PM
When far-left, white, British comedic actor Russell Brand scolded a black WSJ political commentator, Jason Riley as “freakish” and a “betrayer” of his race for not buying into the liberal narrative on the death of Michael Brown, Brand probably didn’t realize how racist and arrogant he came across. In the video posted to Brand’s Youtube channel Aug. 21, he mocks Riley’s “white” sounding voice…

Editor's Note: Quotes contain explicit language Just back from his summer hiatus on Aug. 26, Jon Stewart had a lot of hate to unload on Fox News, and a lot of sanctimonious posturing on race. After lamenting the death of the 18-year-old black teenager Michael Brown at the hands of white police officer, Stewart went on to bash Fox News for suggesting that the mainstream media was…

Malkin Column: Asian-Bashing Dems and the Doormat Minorities Who Enabl

August 26th, 2014 10:07 PM
Harry Reid is a bigoted Beltway corruptocrat with an interminable case of diarrhea of the mouth. The feeble-minded coot stuck his foot in that mess of a mouth again last week at the Las Vegas Asian Chamber of Commerce. But as mortifying as the Senate Majority Leader is, there's an even worse spectacle: Asian-American liberals who keep giving top Democrats and their partisan operatives blanket…

Most Newspapers Skip Reid's Asian Gaffe; WashPost Pleads He's 'Almost

August 25th, 2014 8:00 PM
Scott Whitlock noted earlier today that CBS and NBC skipped over Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s bad jokes about Asians (you’re not really the smartest, I can’t keep my Wongs straight). Additional Nexis transcript searches for “Harry Reid” and “Asian” show no mention on NPR, the PBS NewsHour, and even CNN and MSNBC (at least the transcripts they send to Nexis). But what about newspapers…

If the national media was not…

On 'Kelly File,' MRC's Brent Bozell Calls Media's Incessant Ferguson

August 23rd, 2014 11:32 PM
MRC president Brent Bozell repeated his criticism of the media's rush to judgment in Ferguson on Fox's The Kelly File on Friday night. (His column appeared in Investor's Business Daily on Friday as well.) Bozell has been out front urging the media to show restraint and dwell on the facts instead of getting emotional and deciding what the facts are going to be. He called the coverage so far a…
