The media's obsession with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis continued on Tuesday as Katy Tur Reports guest host Geoff Bennett let Agriculture Commissioner and gubernatorial candidate Nikki Fried spread multiple untruths about DeSantis' pandemic response. That Fried was allowed to spread such claims was not surprising as Bennett's questioning relied on similarly false premises.

With Joe Scarborough leading the charge, Morning Joe absolutely tore into the New York teachers union today for its rejection of a vaccine mandate for teachers. Scarborough called the union's position "ridiculous," and accused the unions of "whining" for months that they couldn't return to classrooms until there was a vaccine, but now that vaccines are available, rejecting the mandate.

Morning Joe regular Dave Aronberg, the Palm Beach County State Attorney, twice claimed today that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's stance on Covid constitutes—of all things—"socialism." 

It is obvious that the media view Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as a 2024 threat; hence every discussion about COVID and the Delta variant must include an implication that Florida is a uniquely dire situation. On his Friday show, Cuomo blamed Florida for the CDC's revised mask guidelines, saying the country was being "held hostage" because of DeSantis' anti-science governance. 

Appearing on Wednesday's Katy Tur Reports on MSNBC, PBS White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor declared that "white male conservative voters" and former President Trump are to blame for the CDC's flip-flopping on their latest guidelines that says vaccinated people should be wearing masks, but the facts said otherwise.

We hoped to never utter the name Greta Thunberg again but unfortunately the young ‘activist’ who belongs in Hollywood for her award winning fear mongering, has drawn attention to herself once again after receiving her Covid-19 vaccine. The 18-year-old posted a photo of herself getting the shot and then captioned it with complaints about vaccine “equity” across the world. 

On Thursday's CNN Newsroom, Carl Cameron and host Alisyn Camerota, both a couple of former Fox News personalities, questioned the motives of their former employer's vaccine advocacy. Cameron was so disgusted with Fox and conservative media's vaccine coverage that he declared, "The problem with all of this is we have free speech and it doesn't entirely include lying."

Host of The Late Show on CBS, Stephen Colbert took the opportunity on his Tuesday show to claim that Dr. Fauci "jackslapped" Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul on the question of whether the National Institute of Health funded gain-of-function research in Wuhan.

Morning Joe's opening segment today consisted of one, long complaint about the unvaccinated hordes that are going to make us all have to mask up again. Mika Brzezinski condescended to the Americans of Walmart, saying they would be "fighting over whether or not they have to wear their masks." Mika can't imagine a mask squabble among the hoi polloi at Saks Fifth Avenue.

During a Friday segment of Cuomo Prime Time on vaccine hesitancy and disinformation, namesake host Chris Cuomo spread some disinformation of his own by insinuating Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is encouraging people not to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

On Tiffany Cross's MSNBC show, Dr. Chris Pernell described anti-vaxxers as white supremacists who are targeting communities of color and playing on their vulnerabilities. She seemed to be suggesting that the white supremacists are trying to persuade POC not to get vaccinated so more will contract the potentially deadly coronavirus.
