On Monday and Tuesday, the network morning shows were thrilled that Democrats in the Texas state legislature pulled a political stunt to temporarily prevent passage of a Republican election reform law, hailing the “dramatic” move as a “last stand” by left-wing lawmakers “vowing to fight on.” The Democratic Party shills on ABC, NBC, and CBS also parroted nasty remarks from President Biden…

Sounding more like a liberal activist than a news "anchor," CNN's Brianna Keilar frets that President Biden is not being tough enough on Republicans regarding what she calls their "assault on voting rights."

China is facing a baby shortage after decades of a one child policy that resulted in millions of forced abortions and infanticide against girls. Yet CBS This Morning on Tuesday somehow never mentioned the brutal abortion practice that, according to NPR, resulted in “about 100 million missing women across Asia.” 

On Monday afternoon, CNN looked down their noses at the public, reporting on a poll that found most of the American people are are way too overconfident at spotting fake news. As usual, they offered no humility about all the fake news that they spread about the Trump campaign colluding with the Russians and other pseudo-scandals. Instead, they mocked people who watch OAN and Fox News.

It’s a feeling you get that echoes last fall, a sense that every new example of investigative journalism on the Hunter Biden laptop is going to be ignored by the “mainstream media.” The latest New York Post report is as ignored as the first.

The Memorial Day edition of the New York Times editorial page led with an obnoxious, elitist essay by Margaret Renkl, a contributing opinion writer based in Nashville. Her attempt at a Memorial Day tribute was rendered worthless by an extraneous condemnation of her fellow Americans for not doing enough to stop the coronavirus, hidden under the benign title “A New Vision of National Service.”…

ABC News’ Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl gave the most mockable admission on this front, while on ABC’s political roundtable, This Week, yesterday. Karl struggled to admit Trump could actually be right about the lab leak theory, even as he justified the media mocking him for it a year ago.

In a line that was one where you had to rewind the show a few times to make sure it was real, MSNBC regular and Princeton professor Eddie Glaude Jr. appeared on Monday's Morning Joe and, in trying to explain Americans' relatively positive mood nowadays, got off this laugh line: "We cannot underestimate the importance of competence...Competence is actually at the helm."
