Phony Soldiers II: New Smear of Limbaugh Over 'Kennedy Memorial Health Care' Bill

“Demonstrating that not even weekends are safe from Democratic Party-sponsored anti-Rush Limbaugh attacks,” Brian Maloney observed on the Radio Equalizer blog on Saturday, “the talk titan is now under fire for a relatively mundane (and actually quite accurate) reference to the shameless political exploitation of Ted Kennedy's illness.”

Some media outlets readily picked up on the effort to discredit Limbaugh. The AP jumped in Friday, “Democrats blast Limbaugh for comment on Kennedy,” and MSNBC's Chris Matthews played a clip on Hardball as he prompted guest Bob Shrum to smear Limbaugh: “It’s outrageous, it’s typical of him. He’s a tasteless guy. He’ll say anything. He appeals to haters.” Saturday's Boston Globe joined in: “Kennedy cheered at summit; Limbaugh remarks sour to some.”

Limbaugh's supposedly outrageous remark: “Before it's all over, it'll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care bill.”

[UPDATED, at 8 PM EST, with a list -- at bottom of this post -- of recent personal attacks against Limbaugh from media and left-wing political figures.] Complete NewsBusters coverage of Limbaugh.

Story Continues Below Ad ↓

On Friday's program, Limbaugh had pointed out:

The failing health of Senator Kennedy is, as I told you way back when, the driving force here. The failing health of Senator Kennedy is already being used as an inspirational effort, or technique, to get national health care on the fast track.

Indeed, at Thursday's health care summit at the White House, President Barack Obama highlighted the presence of “Sir Edward Kennedy,” a reference to British Prime Minister Gordon Brown's announcement earlier in the week that the Queen had bestowed honorary knighthood on Kennedy. To rousing applause, the Senator proclaimed: “I'm looking forward to being a foot soldier in this undertaking. And this time, we will not fail.”

That evening on the NBC Nightly News, reporter Chuck Todd appropriated the coach who inspired “win one for the Gipper” by touting how “the President's drive to pass health care got a Knute Rockne-like boost with a surprise appearance” by Kennedy.

Back to Limbaugh on Friday, he simply took note of how Obama had enlisted Kennedy in the PR effort to advance his drive to pass his nationalized health care plan:

So he's [Obama] moved on to health care. This is highly visible, it's news leading, gets a great focus, plus it has the great liberal lion Teddy Kennedy pushing it. Before it's all over it will be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care Bill. So when you have the banking and the credit problem still unfixed and with health care still unfixed, they'll move on to another caring story: alternate energy -- I don't know; your guess is as good as mine. But whatever it is, the approval numbers will go up because it's not what Obama accomplishes; it's what he cares about.

Maloney explained: “As can be seen, the reference is to the Obamistas and their use of Kennedy's cancer to impose socialized medicine. It's NOT an attack on Kennedy himself.”

Tim Graham's earlier NB post today, “Chris Matthews Runs Rush's 'Liberal Lion' Kennedy Clip, Shrum Denounces His 'Appeals to Haters,'” recounted:

On Friday night's Hardball, Chris Matthews showed how willing he was to carry Democrat water on their manufactured outrage at Rush Limbaugh for mentioning "that great liberal lion" Ted Kennedy. Matthews played the Democrat clip and came out with a sour face -- an odd pose, given Matthews tastelessly mocked Ronald Reagan in 1995 after his Alzheimer's letter on ABC for forgetting he left the country with a big national debt. He let Democrat strategist Bob Shrum roll out the talking point:
MATTHEWS: What do you make of it?

SHRUM: It’s outrageous, it’s typical of him. He’s a tasteless guy. He’ll say anything. He appeals to haters.

MATTHEWS: Yeah.

SHRUM: And he is the face of the Republican Party right now, because no one else is doing a very good job and because he went to CPAC. This is not like the 1990s: Gingrich at his worst was massively popular compared to Rush Limbaugh. And stuff like this is just going to make it more difficult.

Matthews not only ran the audio clip and standard Rush picture of Media Matters for America -- MSNBC also added the Media Matters logo on screen for 10 or 11 seconds....

Graham also posted “AP Publicizes Dem Outrage at Limbaugh's Mention of Ted Kennedy,” which asked:

Does the Associated Press have any news judgment of its own? Or does it merely say "yes" to every Democratic press idea that hits the Inbox? This incredibly weak attack on Rush Limbaugh was defined as "news" by AP:
A Democratic official rebuked conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh on Friday for suggesting a health care proposal will be named in memory of Sen. Edward Kennedy, who is battling brain cancer. On his radio show, Limbaugh said President Barack Obama's proposed health care revisions will be championed by "the liberal lion Teddy Kennedy."

"Before it's all over, it'll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care bill," Limbaugh said.

UPDATE: Commenter "allanf" helpfully compiled a list of recent personal attacks against Limbaugh from media and left-wing political figures:

All liberals know Rush was out of line. But the following liberal comments are okay:

  2. Buffoon
  3. A Sweaty and Swollen Clown
  4. Treasonous
  5. Walrus and Skunk
  6. Eastern European Gangster

Let's call it the: "Mary Jo

Let's call it the: "Mary Jo Kopechne Did not Die in Vain" bill.

P. Aaron... I Second that

P. Aaron...

I Second that motion!

That's

the perfect name for this bill, or we can call it the "Osama Obama Health Care Bill".  H/T to the good senator from Massachusetts for that one.  The dem said it, so it's not hate speech, it's not right wing hate, it's just one dem telling the truth about another dem.

I Wonder

Did Rush steal the Dems title for the bill?

Inquiring minds want to know!

In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price. - Ronald Reagan from his first inaugural address

Newsflash to

Newsflash to Shrum...

Well then buddy, ol' pal, whose never won an election in decades, if ever....(just had to throw that in)...

...Count me in as one of those haters...and a proud one at that!

Rush is Right!

Loser Shrum

According to Wikipedia, Shrum headed up EIGHT presidental campaigns.  You're right bt, he LOST every single one of them.  It's only natural that  he winds up wth 'tingles' Matthews on MSNBC where his lies are welcome.

I, too, want the messiah to fail

"out on a Limbaugh"

I wonder if the guys at the MSLSD graphics department slapped each other five after coming up with that lil' knee slapper.

Reminds me of when Rush had the nerve to wonder if the country wanted to watch a woman President age in front of their eyes last summer before the primaries and all the MSM outlets had a cow. The CBS local news here ran the teaser graphic with (hold on to your laughing hats) "RUSH TO JUDGEMENT?"

Wow. A pun on his name. That's never been done before.

But apparently this is

But apparently this is OK:

If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through
his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to
her in her old age.
-Charles Pierce

Didn't he win a Dishonors Award from MRC for that one?

And Brent, you forgot the famous "Magic Negro" thing that Rush got tagged for when it was an LA Times writer who first used the phrase.

How DARE Rush imply that Ted Kennedy might die sometime!!  Doesn't he know he's immortal?

I didn't think it was physically possible, but this both sucks and blows. -Bart Simpson

Did Congress approve "Sir" Edward Kennedy's title of nobility?

Article I of the United States Constitution, Section 9, Clause 8 states as follows: "No title of Nobility shall be granted by the United States: And no Person holding any Office of Profit of Trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State." Has Congress approved Edward Kennedy's title of nobility? (Not that the Constitution matters anymore anyway.)

Honorary Title

It seems the the British know our Constitution better than most of us do. Ted Kennedy was given an Honorary Title thus sidestepping the prickly Constitutional issue. I do not think that most of the supposed journalists in the MSM are even aware of this Constitutional restriction.

It does amuse me that the

It does amuse me that the coward who fled a sinking car and thus allowing a woman to drown to death in a couple feet of water is thus awarded a knighthood which is usually reserved for brave acts.

Makes you wonder.

Drunks do stupid thing....

Ted K had to be drunk out of his brain.  His thought process was solely on "not getting in trouble".  He should have spent a long time in prison.

"When will Barack Obama apologize to the American people for destroying their once great nation?" - MSM 2012

Good morning Kingfish

Killing Mary-Jo was and still is Uncle Teddy's way of life. He has total disregard for others and is guilty of murder, rape and God knows what else.

I pray he repents before he meets his maker.

Keep it up Dims...

Rush can fight back.  He has three hours a day to do it and he will fight back with higher and higher ratings.  Would the Dims prefer we name the Health Care Bill the "Limbaugh Memorial Health Care Bill"?  Thank you Dims from not learning from past Libs who have done their best to destroy Superman and failed.  Jim Webster

Short memories

I suppose then when Democrats call for Rush to be hung for treason, and reporters say they hope that Judge Thomas's wife feeds him stuff to clog his arteries so he will have a heart attack. and then, of course, we had people hoping for Cheney's death, and getting excited everytime he had an irregular heartbeat. As for people dying/dead, let's see, off the top of my head, Mike Connell and Tony Snow come to mind. There were quite a few Democrats who danced on their graves. Don't call for classy, unless you already have a lock on it.

It's because Rush stole their idea!

He was actually quoting someone in the senate

I do not know all the details but the way I understand it from just catching a few minutes of Hannity that he was actually quoting someone from the Senate or something like that. Maybe someone here could give the details.

The point of the Hannity piece was that the identical statements made by those on the left are always interpreted differently than those on the left. He was using this as an example. At least that was what I got out of it.

Death by Kennedy....

Like it or not. Same as death by socialised  medicine like it or not. Good thing the revolution is starting while we have a complete record of the enemies of the U.S.  A quick midnight visit to the registar's office shold provide a complete list of democrats, all are enemies of freedom around the world. Democrats are more dangerous than Islamism, Communism and Nazism rolled into one. On second thought that may be what they are.

Obama - Change you can bereave in

  We've all become more

We've all become more sophisticated and less gullible since Chappequiddick when it comes to politicians but if you want to get really P.O.'d at a poor excuse of a political weasel listen to this as teddy almost declares himself a hero of the moment and a victim of the event.

Evening MA... I just

Evening MA...

I just can't do it...heard it back then and have heard some since here and there, of course it would certainly be a refresher that is for sure, may look for the memories later...after dinner has settled some...know what I mean?    ;-)

    He uses all kinds of

He uses all kinds of manipulative word tricks trying to garner sympathy.  Why when he's done you just want to give him a big hug and appologize for having thoughts that just add to the burden this poor guy has to carry.

If you really want a refresher

On the Chappaquiddick case, there's a site online, some guy named YTEDK has the whole case laid out in great detail. I remember reading it a year or two ago, and just remember his weird name, don't know how it is listed. I went and watched the old Ted clip. I had seen it before, but it is just as jarring to me everytime. To imagine they broke all kinds of laws and gave him such a pass on everything is surreal. The TMZs of the world and the Enquirers would have been all over that stuff like a cheap suit if it happened today. I would like to be magnaminous and say I feel sorry for him, etc., but I refuse to lie about it. I have heard all my life that he is such a nice and thoughtful man, that all the Senators love him on both sides because he is so kind and such a good friend. Whatever. I refuse to think kind thoughts about him, the very idea makes my skin crawl.

All a Democrat needs is the upper-story window of public attention and the chamber pot of rhetoric. How else to explain the rise of Joe Biden?  P.J. O' Rourke

No need to fret, tbdi...

No need to fret, tbdi...

The National Enquirers of the day and many other publications were all over the story "like a cheap suit".  And, in many circles, the hammering hasn't abated in forty years.  All one need do is merely mention Kennedy's name in relation to any subject whatsoever, and the Chappaquiddick venom will be unleashed yet again.

Jer

And your friggin point is.......

?

Obviously too complex for

Obviously too complex for you to grasp, cro.

Jer

Just a quick question........

to see how you feel on this matter. Do you think Ted Kennedy should have been prosecuted for the death of Mary Jo Kopechne?

He was prosecuted, but not

He was prosecuted, but not for vehicular homicide.  Should he have been?  Arguably.  Were the legal sanctions imposed on Kennedy too lenient?  Probably.

But it's been forty years.  Kennedy, the sole surviving brother and son in a family that has suffered far too many tragedies, is himself gravely ill and probably won't be around too much longer.  I wish everyone would just get all the anti-Kennedy vitriol out of their system with one final 'special forum bashfest' and then give it a rest.

Jer

No weasel words, just....

yes or no.

Sorry if you found it

Sorry if you found it weasely, but that's as much as I feel qualified to say, having neither sat on the grand jury, attended the inquest or read the testimony from either.

My previous response certainly leaned toward further prosecution and/or stiffer penalties.  You'll have to be satisfied with that.

Jer

OK, just feel secure in your little world when.....

someone like OJ moves in next door.

Congratulations, you just

Congratulations, you just took a commanding lead in the contest for the most absurd non sequitor of 2009.

Just for the heck of it, what would your response have been if I had said "No, there was absolutely no justification for further prosecution or additional penalties?"

Jer

You are hiding behind a hypothetical......

answer, which, I believe, are your true feelings. OJ was found not guilty by a jury consisting, in my opinion, of a liberal, democrat "wow it's OJ" type jury. Years later he is arrestested again, in this instance threatening the life of a private citizen. OJ does time, justice is served.  Ted Kennedy takes a girl from a party where drinking and sex are the order of the day, does not negotiate a turn and dumps the car off a bridge, leaving the girl trapped inside under water. After making several so called rescue attempts, he proceeds back to the house the party was at bypassing several obviously inhabited dwellings to call for help. Once back at the party, he enlists aid to go back to the scene of the crime, still not notifying any authorities what so ever. He swims across the channel to his hotel room and retires for the night. Mary Jo is thought to have had a couple hours of air in the car, but she drowns. He is given a slap on the wrist by the "adoring" public and life goes on. He goes on to become the "lion" of the senate and now wants to push his liberal/feel good/free healthcare for all agenda down our throats. All the while he should be doing time for manslaughter. Justice was not served.

I don't think you have

I don't think you have expressed your true feelings.  I think you are actually a communist and a subversive.

That makes as much sense as the rubbish you're posting about my "true feelings".

Jer

If I was a bleeding heart liberal like you......

you might have a case in calling me "a communist and a subversive".

Since you can apparently

Since you can apparently divine my true, hidden feelings, on what do you base your conclusion I'm a bleeding-heart liberal?

Jer

Why can't we all just get along. Sound familiar?

But it's been forty years.  Kennedy, the sole surviving brother and son in a family that has suffered far too many tragedies, is himself gravely ill and probably won't be around too much longer.  I wish everyone would just get all the anti-Kennedy vitriol out of their system with one final 'special forum bashfest' and then give it a rest.

Forgive me if I do not shed a tear for the trials and tribulations of the law breaking kennedy clan. The father was a crook, the son a murderer. The only one I respect is Joe Jr., who gave his life to protect this nation. I myself will shed a tear for Mary Jo Kopechne.

Familiar?  Of course.

Familiar?  Of course.  Nice message...lousy messenger.

Re Kennedys:  hammer away.

Jer

OK, thanks :)

Nice arguing with you. I'm outtahere.

Thank you. I should have

Thank you.

I should have been outtahere hours ago.  Talk to you later.

Jer

Moses was in the desert for 40 years also.....

Move along, move along, nothing to see here.

Good morning Jer

Kennedy was never prosecuted for anything. He went before a family friend, judge James A boyle and was shielded from further prosecution with a suspended sentence.

Is forty years long enough to excuse murder?

Jesus Loves You

You mean he plead guilty

You mean he plead guilty for nothing?  I hope he fired his lawyer.

Jer

→ Leaving the scene

I think that was the gist of his plea.

Fortunately he walked around in a daze for 9 hours before he realized he wasn't drunk enough to be charged with anything else.

Obama - Change you can bereave in

Correct.

Correct.

Jer

→ Kennedy Rope-a-dope

My favorite run-on from his speech.

Although my doctors informed me that I suffered a cerebral concussion,
as well as shock, I do not seek to escape responsibility for my actions
by placing the blame either in the physical, emotional trauma brought
on by the accident, or on anyone else. I regard as indefensible the
fact that I did not report the accident to the policy immediately

Obama - Change you can bereave in

Not enough suffering

Sorry Jer but these despicable people can't suffer enough! Do you know how they became rich? During the great depression Joe Kennedy bought people's homes for pennies on the dollar with money he made from bootlegging and extortion. Do you know what the Kennedy kids grew up calling the mass murderer Joseph Stalin - they called him Uncle Joe! Pop Kennedy was also good friends with another mass murder you may have heard of - Adolph Hitler! If there is any justice Ted and all the Kennedys will suffer a long long time.

Aside from Joe Kennedy

Aside from Joe Kennedy making money in real estate, I believe your claims are total nonsense.  You'll need to show me some objective evidence--meaning no garbage from a Kennedy-hating nutsite.

Jer

There is no statute of

There is no statute of limitations on homicide, even on vehicular homicide, the very least this case is.

There are more serious issues here as well.

The Kennedy family paid the Kopechne's for their silence and cooperation.  There was no autopsy at the Kopechne family insistence.  If this could be shown to be a quid pro quo, then Kennedy is guilty of obstruction of justice.

This begs the following question: Why would Kennedy not want an autopsy if the cause of death was an MVA?  What would an autopsy provide that would inconvenience Ted?  There are two obvious possibilities: (1) The cause of death was not Motor Vehicle Accident or an accident at all.  (2)  Kopechne was pregnant.  If either of these are true, then Kennedy is quite likely a premediated murderer.

THIS is why it still matters, 40 years later.

Then why do the people of

Then why do the people of Massachussetts vote for this coward?

By the way, I wonder if he has used public medicine to treat his condition?  Or has he sunk great amounts of money into his treatment?

Count me out!!! There are many conservatives in MA - we

just can't outnumber those on the dole - whether it is welfare or, as often referred to, the 'hackerama' - the viral nepotism that permeates each and every local and state office!  If you are the second cousin thrice removed of a selectman, mayor or legislator, and the party is D - you're in for life pulling down $70k for taking tolls (plus whatever you can skim on your shift!) then a nice early retirement in Florida of course...no taxes...at not much less than what you were being paid for working.  In fact, the word 'working' as referred to in Massachusetts state jobs can also be checking on your rental properties...or grilling steaks while you wait to raise a bridge once a day...or or or if it's a shady deal you're looking for, you need look no further than Massachusetts!!!  A sign of what our once grand country will look like in the coming months - after total Democratic rule!  Take a long hard look - and BE AFRAID!

Check the Boston Herald online for recent TK articles and you will see from the comments that there are posters with no regard whatsoever for this sham of a man.  There are MANY who wish this man would do the honorable thing and resign so our state could have two voting senators.  But---since when do those two words come up in the same sentence - Kennedy "& honorable???

I believe Rush is right on target with his assumption - not only the Kennedy Healthcare Bill but they'll push for all the illegals to become citizens as well...whatever Obama wants, Obama gets!!!  After all, he said it best..."we won!"

I hope every person who voted for him suffers as much as those 48 million of us who were smart enough to see through his scheming ways!!!  God help America!!!!

It is no dishonor to be in a minority in the cause of liberty and virtue. ~ Sam Adams

Brain dead

Most of the voters in Massachussetts are brain dead! I grew up there so I know. They fools had a chance to vote to eliminate the State Income Tax last November and 70% of the idiots listened to Comrade Obama's good buddy Governor "cadilac" Devalle Patrick in stead of using some gray matter to give themselves about a 6% pay raise. Massholes are D-U-M-B!

Chappaquiddick venom will be unleashed yet again

The guy murdered an innocent woman and never went to prison!

The murderer of the innocent...

So we have been told over and over again for forty years.  But, please disregard my earlier advice (as if I seriously expected it to be heeded).  Full speed ahead with the merciless scorn, and perhaps the sheer force of the collective outrage and cries for vengeance will send the Senator to an even earlier grave.  My view on the propriety of his punishment has been stated, and beyond that, I'll leave it to a higher power to sort out any earthly inequities.

Jer

You are playing the role of

You are playing the role of apologist for murder.  Is this what you really want to do in this instance?  Defense of the indefensible is a formula for defeat.

Look at this issue more broadly:  If it is shown, even at the 11th hour, that Ted was a murderer, as is almost certainly the case, the "Kennedy Legacy" becomes that of a criminal who escaped justice.  The left wants to wrap its ill conceived government takeover of healthcare in Kennedy's mantle.  I think that is unnervingly accurate.  This takeover will kill tens of thousands of Americans just as surely as Mary Jo Kopechne died at the hands of Kennedy.

Truth matters.

di...2 thoughts on this subject

1)  Don't worry about thinking the worst of Teddy.  Everyone immediately thinks of Chappaquiddick (naturally), but I didn't see one mention of Teddy's involvement (and subsequent defense) in his nephew's rape of a girl in Palm Beach.

2)  Rush is spot-on in his assessment that the imminent demise of the "Lion of the Senate" (again, quoting someone else...stupid dem media never learns this about Rush) will be a cause celebre for the democrats to ram through their health care bill, just as they've rammed through the TARPs, the so-called stimulus package, and their pork-laden omnibus budget.  Rahm let their cat out of the bag....why waste a good crisis?  And the death of Teddy will be painted as THE state of health care crisis.

When Teddy goes, they're going to give him a send-off bigger than the great Ronald Maximumus.

I hope he fails, too.

Blonde...

As far as I can tell, the dem media is not upset about the "Liberal Lion" remark [and shouldn't be].  Tim's headline suggesting otherwise is misleading.

Jer

The point is, Jer

The media does have its knickers in a twist over Rush's comment that they'll try to shove "health care reform" down our throats before Ted Kennedy goes to meet his maker.  Once again, the media is giving cover to Obama and his socialist tendencies....and distracting the sheep with more absurdities about Rush.

As a result, we'll get about as much debate on the validity of Obama's (absurd) premise of nationalized health care as a fundamental right as we did about the stimulus package.  None.

Unlike many here, I know you aren't a troll and are probably the sanest voice on the "other side"....so I'd invite you over to this Forum to seriously discuss the merits of what we should be discussing....health care reform.

I hope he fails, too.

I remember

Rush playing an audio clip of a Senator, I think it was Howell Heflin, another dem, talking about going out on a boat with Kennedy and some "staffers".  First, that was an act of bravery on Heflin's part.  Next, Heflin was heard remarking that "Senator Kennedy gave a new definition of offshore drilling".  I do believe I sprayed a soft drink all over the dashboard of my truck when I hear that.

The kerfluffle over Rush pre-empting the dems who, I know, wanted to name this monstrosity after Kennedy, is just rage that he beat them to it.

Yeah

This self righteous POS is to get a Knighthood? I thought the English were better judges of charachter. I guess not!

I heard the comment directly from Rush on his show. This was a sarcastic comment about how insensitive the Dems are to ignore Teddy's baggage to even consider his name on the healthcare plan.

For the opposition

Maybe I can make an appearance for the opposition to this bill.  Under Obama Care, I can readily imagine someone deciding someday that I've been on dialysis way too long and owe it to my country to let my End Stage Renal Disease take me off the government dole.

be willing to make odds

On a lot of DhimmicRAT faux-catholics meeting a hard row to hoe on judgement day.

It's the same old song, from the Democrats.

If you don't have a plan and you don't have a clue, what can you do?  There's only one thing and that's divert attention from those facts.  You have to choose your target very carefully, pick a subject that points away from your actions, and get the media involved.

The Democrats are pros, they've been doing this for years. The problem they have is there is so much alternative media out there, people don't necessarily hear their shills spouting the talking points.

Election 2008-God's way of showing us that elections count.

This is a fact stated by 99.9% of medical pundits who made the rounds when it was revealed that Ted, the lady killer, has about two years before his air runs out.

Ted Kennedy has caused this

Ted Kennedy has caused this country more irreversable damage than anyone in politics today.  Just the 1965 immigration changes are enough to make one repulsed by this man.

mm - truer words were never psted!!!

This man should have spent every day since the murder IN JAIL!!!  Welcome to Massachusetts justice!!!!

I watched the link from MidAmerica and it just made my skin crawl - I truly believe the man is a pathological liar - it was almost like watching Bill Clinton all over again -----LIAR LIAR PANTS ON FIRE

However, he will soon be facing the final judgement - don't think his daddy will be able to get him out of that one!

However, the media seems to give Obama and his Staff much more of a break than they did with Bush.  Had Rice made the mistakes that Hillary did with names and gifts, it would be constant front page stories and all of the cheesy cable shows would have some so called "foreign relations" expert come on and speak about what a horrible thing it was for Bush's Staff to make these errors with foreigners.

In regards to Rush, I don't listen to his show, and don't have any desire to start listening, so I really can't comment on his show.

Obama Mentor Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals"

First the White House takes shots at Limbaugh, then the DNC runs anti-Limbaugh ads (even some in Spanish), then the press drills every GOP official about Limbaugh, then the left-leaning press takes the worst reactions and tries to create a false crisis out of it... wherever could such a strategy have sprung from? -

Obama mentor Saul Alinsky’s handbook Rules for Radicals outlines the techniques used by this administration to try and break any link between Rush Limbaugh’s influence and the GOP- it’s basically a divide-and-conquer approach:  -

Rule 5: Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It’s hard to counterattack ridicule, and it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.  -

According to Alinsky, the main job of the organizer is to bait an opponent into reacting. “The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

Now that we all know what the underhanded control-freak Obama is up to, conservatives, Limbaugh, and the GOP would be well-advised to ignore these malicious hypocrites, and don’t take the bait.  Note that Wall St. didn't go for these diversionary stunts one bit, they're focused like a hawk on his ongoing demolition of the country.

The narcissist Obama looks desperate and insecure going after Rush, so just let him go down with his ill-advised policies, shouldn’t take long now-

http://reaganiterepu...

In times of crisis Presidents govern from ideology . . .

Bill Kristol once said that last year and it is true.

In the case of Obama, you are correct to point to Alinsky socialism because that is Obama's mentorship and core belief.

The attack on Limbaugh is intended for Americans to be distracted from real problems Obama is committing.

However, Rush is fully capable of taking care of himself and damaging Democrats with moderates and conservatives.

Republicans from Steele to all elected officials should stop responding to these attacks - ignore them completely. Because those responses is exactly what James Clarabell and Paul Begafor more want.

Instead Republicans should be on the attack against Obama  - and make it personal. He is incompetent and arrogant and it needs to be exposed. His mistakes and gaffs need to be exposed.

The biggest issues right now are his feckless/clueless foreign policy efforts combined with his inability to come up with a policy to solve the banking crisis while he uses taxpayer money to have personal White House celebrity concerts as goes off ona European jaunt now.

Steele needs to stop going on talk shows and defending himself and Rush and immediately start attacking Obama. And I mean now.

Rush should apologise right the hell now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Remember how the Democrats got all upset because the Republicans in San Francisco wanted to name a SEWER treatment plant after a sitting president.

WOW. That was one major kerfuffle. The MSM and the Democrats were spitting mad.

Wait a minute. I got my notes mixed up here....

Sincerely,

a Veteran of a 1000 psychic wars.

Of course the DNC donkey-washers

Of course the DNC donkey-washers in the MSM are going to hit Rush on a weekend, as Rush's show runs Monday through Friday.

This gives them 48 hours to try and convince brain-dead America that Rush is somehow a threat to our republic.

-Dave

This coup has gone on long enough. The time to put it down is NOW.

The opposition

"Liberals" can't stand to be contradicted. They can't can't even accept that there may be an opposing point of view. I've seen them, on numerous occasions, become enraged at a person who has obviously beaten them in an argument. And Rush Limbaugh does it everyday. Since "liberals" can't win on the issues, their only retorts are offensive personal attacks. This is the strategy now being used by the White House. Demonize Limbaugh, make him a laughing stock. Problem is, their plan is not working as long as he is on the air and has forum to expose their immaturity, irrationality, ignorance, and incompetence. He calls their bluff and they hate him for it. Sorry libs, seems the only places you can get away with your crap are at a Democratic lovefeasts or high school or college classrooms (too often the same thing).

NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal"

Kennedy

Jessie R. Hamby              Here is a comment on Kennedy-    He is either a murderer, or he is an accessory to murder. I have been around almost as long as Kennedy. He, & his "family" killed a woman & used the white house to cover it up. That is the kind of man Ted is.

Teddy

 jessieH:

Right on. The entire Kennedy clan are despicable in my eyes, and the eyes of millions of people.

NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal"

All of this just because

All of this just because Uncle Teddy killed a girl who was probably pregnant with his baby  and raped a few others?

Can't a drunken degenerate have a little fun anymore?

Jesus Loves You

What these jerks don't

What these jerks don't understand is that Rush and his listeners aren't fooled by their fauxrage over his comments. Their ginned up rage only works against weak-kneed Republicans who they say "go over" the phony lines that they draw.  Rush was right and if their phony delicate sensibilities are offended - well, good! Let Matthews and his ilk wail and gnash their teeth as Rush and the rest of us laugh scornfully at their comedy act.

The "Mainstream" Media: By liberals. For liberals.

Inconsistent Treatment

Why is it quite all right to show outrage over the fact that OJ got away with murder in 1994, for example, but if someone points out that Teddy escaped prosecution for a long list of crimes in 1969, we are 'haters' who can't let the past go? Or we should feel pity because he's a sick old man now. Or because in the opinion of a few, he has done some good since then. Or because others in his family have suffered, though they were only somewhat less criminal.

I see nothing wrong with hoping we are rid of the old POS as soon as possible. May he rot in hell. Our country will be better off without him.

History

Slick:

Right on. I guess, by "liberal" standards, if Hitler had gotten old and sickly we should praise him too. And what about Richard Nixon? Don't even mention his name to a "liberal". They still make movies that defile the man! And it was a "long time ago" that Joel Steinberg beat his wife and child. Want to go back further?--what about Benedict Arnold? Or John Wilkes Booth? They are just wonderful guys now, right??? Modern relativism is an insult to thinking people. For them there is only way to "think"--the "liberal" way. Sickening hypocrites all.

NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal"

The Audacity of Dopes.

Then again are we ever surprised by their audacity? The laughing boys get away with phrases leveled at Presidents ... "It's the economy stupid!" Only this time it REALLY is the economy you stupid leftists political touch monkey's. Yet, the democrats are gassing about Rush Limbaugh talk show host!?

I for one will not purchase a single high ticket item as long as socialists are asleep at the wheel. May the labor unions die along with their idiotic notions. Long live the Limbaugh's of the world ... we are right.

Right and wrong

Crash:

You say,"we are right". Yes, there is a "right" and a "wrong". They are not relative to whether you are a Democrat or a Republican. They are not relative to what your friends think. They are not relative to the persons you want to demonize and those you don't. But modern "liberal" relativists in the government, in the media, and in our school classrooms don't think that absolutes exist at all. Therefore, they are amoral. For example, the tax cheats who are in Congress and in Barry's cabinet. YOU have to pay taxes; they don't.  Their lack of moral, ethical  standards have brought America to the brink of complete collapse. Yet they go on. Sickening hypocrites all!

NEVER,NEVER trust a "liberal"

Reaganite Republican pointed out so well the following:

Many of us look at what BO and his gang of thugs in the WH and drive-bys are doing as directed at Rush (and by extension us).  While this is certainly true, when one listens to Rush you can see he is turning the Alinsky rules around on the libtards.  IMHO, thin-skinned man-child Obam and Rahm "the ballerina" Emmanuel have overreacted to Rush's taunts and has further exposed the WH and drive-by collusion. The WH and drive-bys took the bait and now insult all of us and our beloved constitution through their coordinated efforts to silence a private citizen. An alternative view of BO and drive-bys is becoming more evident to many Americans due to NB and Rush's efforts.

Well played NB and Rush--keep it up!!

I was more impressed--

Then there is the windmills with no blades and no stands, you cannot even see them. They are called the "Kennedy Alternative Power Sources" aka the NIMBY Power Sources. (don't block my sailing areas is yet another name.)

Also a new game kit known as the "Teddy Watch My Nephew Rape Someone Kit". It comes in one, two or three victim games.

His crowning game is Spinopoly, where you get to replace American workers on the board with illegal immigrants figures. The winner gets to grant amnesty to his picks.

CA,

I believe it was an Olds Delmont 88, those evil people at GM caused this.  And Nwahs,  he wasn't a draft dodger, he enlisted, tried for Military Intelligence and got kicked out of that training, for an "undisclosed reason".  He ended up in Europe, spent almost 2 years in the Army, went in as a private, got out as a PFC.  What a distinguished military career.  But daddy did manage to keep him out of Korea.

Lion of the Senate

Ted Kennedy is the lying sack of sh*t of the Senate. He should have been in prison for murder for the past 30 some years. These liberal losers are always outraged when they think murdering scum are being criticized by anyone! You have to love the caring Democrats, always caring about killers never the victims!

The Last Lion

Last Lion:  The Fall and Rise of Ted Kennedy

That is one of the books I saw at Costco yesterday, after hearing about this "Liberal Lion" thing all weekend.  Just more of the same.  I found one of the reviews, obviously not from a progressive, interesting:

It is sad that this author had to rip off a title from William Manchesters great book about Winston Churchill.. "The Last Lion"... and some how I just can not see Ted Kennedy as a lion.. The title being stolen just makes it more apparent...I can not imagine the book being worth much... Churchill was a hero.. he sacrificed his wants and needs for the good of his country but Ted Kennedy.. just does not fit that discription... Churchill sacrificed himself for his country.. Ted Kennedy sacrificed the good of his country for his own selfish needs... This is just sad...Maybe it could have better been titled, Spoiled little Boy who never grew up...

They have fixed Rush as the main target, like the good Alinsky psychopaths they are, and they are blasting away at him every chance they get.

Mr. Tingly, bob the loser & the lion

Let's see Bob"the loser" Shrum and his host,Mr. Tingly, who has less viewers in a month than Rush has listeners in a week, bust on him for daring to name the socialist healthcare bill, the Ted Kennedy memorial bill.  My question is, would the "Lion" or even Mrs. Bush be denied treatment under the bill because of their ailments and advanced age? How else do you reduce costs except by rationing or denying care?  You think those 2 morons would discuss that?

Shades of Soylent Green

Anyone see it? That's what Obama's plan is all about. Kill the elderly and turn them into food for the starving masses who will be starving because he destroyed them economically. If this guy isn't the anti-Christ, God help us all when the real one shows up. He'll be worse than a combination of Obama, Matthews, Soros, Ayers, the Clintons, and whatever other evil souls you'd like to throw in the mix. I guess being a pathological narcissist these days pays off well when you're in solid with the Rockerfellers and Soros. Poor America. Either revolt or play taps for her timely demise.
