Well, what did you expect? Caffrey has a long history of bashing Bush and Cheney, and he proposed a question that invited insults. So he gets a bunch of responses that follow form, just as he intended. What's disingenuous (or reveals his own blindness) is when Caffrey represents these emails as objective proof that America shares his own point of view.

Caffrey is predictable to the point of boredom. When his face shows up on camera, you know what he's going to say, and how he's going to say it. It's no more interesting or entertaining than watching a dog bark. At least Olbermann comes up with new outrages once in a while. Caffrey is the same sour, grumpy jerk on every segment.

I know better than to stop and listen to Jack's emails. It would start my early evening in a stew! When I first saw his wrinkled yellowed dress shirts, I knew Jack was a loser - a hair on fire liberal. Put a sock in it, Jack.

We all had someone like Cafferty in our lives, usually in our small home-town where the drunk would spend endless days sitting in front of a store mindlessly mumbling things like 'the world will end tomorrow', harassing women with sexual comments and mildly convulsing and making wierd body movements when small children, especially young boys, walked by.

Complaints to the police or store management generally went unheard or with responses being something to do with the first amendment or that we need to show more compassion and understanding.

Eventually the problem would solve itself when the offender was found lying in a gutter having strangled himself in his own vomit.

BDS/CDS at its worse. President George W. Bush earned a BA in History from Yale University and an MBA from Havard and the media paints him as a dimwit. Al (the sky is falling) Gore, on the other hand, has attended several colleges and universities, including a "divinity school", has failed to obtain a degree, yet he has been held up by the MSM as some kind of super genius to the point of winning a Nobel Peace Prize!

What's wrong with this picture? There is a sickness with many on the left that I can't begin to understand.

On a related note, how will History view today's "news" media?...you know, the media, which has an approval rating well below that of Big, Bad Bush and Cheney.  Even below that of congress' abysmal numbers.

Half tempted to whip up some js or ajax code and flood CNN/Cafferty's viewer mail form with something along the lines of "Hey Jack:  Gone on any drinking binges lately?  Run over any cyclists this week?"

See if he reads that on the air.

Can't remember the guy who said it (some conservative) but he was on the Situation Room one afternoon - right after Cafferty's rant -  and he managed to fit the word "alcoholic" and Cafferty in the same sentence.  It was hysterical.   Cafferty had to have been sitting there listening/watching off camera.

Jack Cafferty thinks he's the modern manifestation of Howard Beale, but outside of a similar curmudgeonly descent into self-absorbed madness, he has little in common with the fictional character.  Simply stated, Cafferty is just a drunken, disheveled mess.

so out of the 18 emails he did receive I suppose its possible they were all negative.

Listen folks, come one now.  You sit around all day pelting stones at the president elect of the united states...I am a conservative, and i am offended by what i read on the site refereing to our commander in chief.  how dare you turn around and get all politically correct when the libs do it to bush?  Fools.  Pick a side and stick to it. 

The MSM has continued to slide to the bottom financially, because of this kind of pandering to the disrespectful. Why would anyone who is reasonably normal support the video, print or audio media that presents this e-mail tripe as newsworthy. When they hit bottom all I will say is "good riddence to bad rubbish".
