By contrast, in 2021, during President Joe Biden’s first four weeks in office, the late night comedians told a total of 88 jokes about the new chief executive, according to an MRC study.

Throughout all of 2023, the late night comedians told a total of 9,518 political jokes, and of these 7,729 or 81 percent were directed at someone or something on the right side of the political spectrum, an MRC study has found.

With the Writers Guild of America going on strike, it is likely that America has seen the last of the first half of 2023’s late night comedy shows. Whether America wants them to return is another question as 95 percent of their guests were liberal, a NewsBusters study has documented.
