CBS is so shamelessly partisan than it can pair a puffball interview with Joe Biden and a vicious attack piece on Ron DeSantis in the same 60 Minutes show. Add in leftist tilt at Face the Nation and Sunday Morning, and the whole day stinks for conservatives.

Two years ago, CBS reporter Sharyn Alfonsi unloaded a 60 Minutes hit piece on Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and his COVID-vaccine rollout. New York Times opinion writer Frank Bruni wrote a piece describing DeSantis as an “optical illusion,” that “geyser of gibberish” Elon Musk seems fond of him. “Magnates like Musk typically cling to the moment’s shiniest toys, and DeSantis, fresh off his re-election, is a curiously gleaming action figure.” Bruni’s spitting nails at the idea that Musk could find him “sensible and centrist.”

CBS is standing by their malicious hit piece on Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. On yesterday’s 60 Minutes, reporter Sharyn Alfonsi responded to the heavy criticism with an unapologetic update.

As Ronald Reagan might say, “There they go again.” The “they” in this case would be 60 Minutes, the longtime jewel of CBS News. The show has been in the headlines for days because of a showdown with Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis and 60 Minutes correspondent Sharyn Alfonsi. 

New emails from the camp of Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) handed to Fox News underline the shady way the CBS 60 Minutes team operated before their Sunday night hatchet job suggesting (without actual connecting evidence) that DeSantis engaged in a "pay to play" scheme with the Publix supermarket chain on vaccine distribution.

On Tuesday morning, Fox News was doing its part to expose the dishonesty of the liberal media as Fox & Friends informed viewers of CBS portraying Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as corrupt while completely ignoring the facts and the word of two prominent Democrats that proved the CBS hit piece was unfounded.

CBS had quite an Easter weekend. We might call it another "Fairness Is Overrated" Weekend. CBS "News" lurched from an embarrassing article that brazenly touted "3 ways companies can help fight Georgia's new restrictive election law"...to pandering to Hunter Biden and his family....to slamming Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis as a coronavirus exploiter. It was a perfectly partisan lineup.
