In a softball interview with comedian turned liberal activist Jimmy Kimmel for Thursday’s NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer touted how the ABC late-night host “has found himself in the headlines for his unexpected role in the health care debate.”  

The media is quick to forget scandals about their favorites. They ignored Harvey Weinstein for decades, even after his accusers went to the police. And now they are downplaying former talk show host David Letterman’s sex scandal as he’s up for a big award.  

Friday morning, ABC’s Good Morning America rewarded it’s newly lauded national treasure, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel with a fawning interview, applauding his liberal activism on health care and gun control. Not only that, but news reader Amy Robach stayed silent as Kimmel pummelled the Trump family with gay jokes and nasty insults, along with his critics, whom he glowingly called “gun nuts.”
