With the news that the liberal Joy Behar's HLN show will end next month, the Media Research Center compiled a "best of Behar" list from its own archives. The liberal prime-time host was one who could never be accused of holding back her smears against conservatives, and repeatedly teed-up her liberal guests to bash Republicans.
Behar, who is also the co-host of ABC's The View, mostly interviewed entertainment and celebrity figures but was never at a loss for bringing liberal politics to the fore in those interviews. She embarked on many a crusade against social conservatives and any who opposed her passionate support for the GLBT cause.
Here are some of the best examples of Behar's bigotry:
JOY BEHAR: It’s illogical, what they’re doing, because if you are not going to help people with birth control, you’re going to have more abortions....So, besides being evil and immoral and unethical, they’re also stupid.
— Behar, showing her true liberal colors on social issues, slammed House Republicans as "evil and immoral and unethical" on her February 21, 2011 show for voting to end federal funding for the abortion provider Planned Parenthood.
BEHAR: Poor white people, poor black people are the ones who are oppressed by the right wing in this country, but they don’t seem to get that. They vote against their own interests all the time.

CNN exit polls showed that in 2008, the liberal Democratic candidate Barack Obama picked up 60 percent of the votes of those with less than $50,000 in income. In CNN national exit polls for the 2010 House elections, a GOP landslide, Democrats still picked up 54 percent of the under-$50,000 income vote.
LARRY KING, former CNN host: It would be great – the one thing good about it if Romney or Huntsman got it [the GOP nomination] is a Mormon against a black, what does the South do? What do they do? You're in Alabama, oh, my gosh.
BEHAR: There would be mass suicides in Mississippi.

Setting Up Liberal Guests to Bash Conservatives
DONNY DEUTSCH: Almost anybody that’s been around too long, there’s so much ‘no’ attached to it, that you almost need that blank piece of paper. That’s the new model, like, you know, this coconut Rubio down in Florida....Marco Rubio. He’s running against Charlie Crist, who I think has done a great job.”
— MSNBC and CNBC contributor Donny Deutsch on the Joy Behar Show, February 22, using the racial slur "coconut" to describe Republican senate candidate Marco Rubio. A day later, Deutsch clarified his remark on Twitter, stating “I said ‘coconut’ meaning simple, goofy, bananas...wasn’t even aware it could be a racially charged word.” The slur “coconut” is a term used to attack dark-skinned conservatives as being brown on the outside but white on the inside.
BEHAR: Was it hard to play Dick Cheney?...Because I know that you’re not a fan of Cheney....Where did you find it in yourself to go down and find that satanic spot that we all know so well?
RICHARD DREYFUSS, actor: Are you leading me somewhere? First of all, every actor likes the play bad guys.... To play Dick Cheney, all I had to do was find my Dick Cheney. And you can find all the villainy in the world in your own heart, and that’s what an actor’s job is. I always say to kids, inside you is Hitler and Jesus. And you got to find the appropriate person and bring them out.

Canonizing Scandal-Ridden Democrats
BEHAR: I think people are going to look back on his [Clinton's] presidency the way they look at Saint Ronald Reagan. They’ll say Saint Bill Clinton eventually. Because he had his problems during his administration, but in retrospect he did a great job.
RACHAEL RAY: But he left the country with a surplus of money and goodwill.
BEHAR: Yes, he did, which was squandered.
