The View HATES Fetterman’s GOP Message, Claims DSA Only About ‘Social Security’

For a supposed “bona fide news program,” The View was sure wearing their anti-Republican hatred on their sleeve during Thursday’s show. In the wake of the Republican Party’s first midterm convention, the ABC News co-hosts were irritated with Democratic Senator John Fetterman (PA) for taking part in the event and sending a video message condemning the rising socialist wing of his party. The show’s purported “independent” lashed out, while others either claimed socialism didn’t exist in the party or that the Democratic Socialists were just for “Social Security.”

It was clear they were in campaign mode because at one point, co-host Joy Behar suggested that the Trump administration was opening up America to be attacked militarily. “About the Iran War and the fact that Hegseth purged top military officers and how they're putting this country and the world at risk. That is what's going to happen if the Democrats do not get in!” she screeched.

 

 

The election-motivated fear mongering ramped up following a soundbite of Fetterman promising he was “always going to reject the extremes and socialism and that anti-American way of life” that were growing in the Democratic Party.

Moderator Whoopi Goldberg responded to Fetterman by suggesting he was supporting the side (the Republican side) that had removed “education” from schools and taking away the right to vote:

Yeah, well, I hope that's true, John, because there's a lot of things you could be doing. You could be, you know, helping us block this idea that we're taking votes away from people. You could stand for that. That would be a good thing. You could stand for bringing back education, real education to our kids in the schools and fight for all the things that we have grown up with and make them better.

“If he's Democrat, I'm six feet tall and a supermodel. The guy voted 20 percent of the time with Republicans,” Behar whined, as if that meant Fetterman was a dyed-in-the-wool conservative. “Even what's her face, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska only broke with Republicans 13 percent of the time.”

 

 

Typically, the show bills co-host Sara Haines as the independent who and doesn’t like how each side puts on their team’s jersey and does to their corners. However, she let the mask slip again as she lashed out a Fetterman because Republicans shouldn’t be helped:

Normally, I would cheer on someone reaching across the aisle and because we live in a tribal time where everyone is divided and we can't then punish people for doing it. But my important caveat is, not at a convention or a rally, because in this instance we need bipartisan policy in D.C. I don't need another cheerleader on that stage trying to get the Republicans to win when you're claiming to be a Democrat. I think this was the wrong place for him.

 

 

The View had previously lauded Republicans like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger who crossed the aisle and appeared at Democratic rallies and conventions.

“It's giving Sinema. It's giving Manchin. And then to try to use the word 'socialism' as a boogieman. He's playing right into Republican hands,” griped co-host Sunny Hostin, still doing her shtick from last season of trying to gaslight viewers on how prominent socialism was in the party.

 

 

Alyssa Farah Griffin, the show’s token Republican, actually interjected and pointed out that the party had just nominated several socialists while they were on vacation. Hostin argued that they weren’t real socialists, while Goldberg stepped in to assert they were only for “Social Security” and nothing else:

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: You guys did just nominate socialists in a number of states for the House.

HOSTIN: Democratic socialism is very different than --

HOSTIN: It's very different than communism.

GOLDBERG: Social Security! Social Security!

“No, but the DSA's platform is very specific,” Farah Griffin pushed back. “I'm all for the social safety net, what the DSA stands for is not just the social safety net. It's abolishing prisons, it's abolishing borders, it's abolishing belief.”

From using fear to electioneer and lies where it applies, The View was still daring the Federal Communications Commission to act while their “bona fide news program” status was hanging in the balance.

BEHAR: Even Mike Johnson said that they are going to go after them if the Democrats are in power about the $2 billion that he and his family made while he was president. About the Epstein files. They keep blocking the exposure of those. I understand that European countries are trying to find out about Epstein -- see what's in them and the Justice Department in this country is blocking it. About the investigation about the abuses about ICE and what they're doing to immigrants and the way they're behaving towards these people. About the Iran War and the fact that Hegseth purged top military officers and how they're putting this country and the world at risk. That is what's going to happen if the Democrats do not get in!
