During Wednesday’s edition of ABC’s The View, racist co-host Sunny Hostin and faux conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin essentially admitted that there was strong evidence that President Biden and his son Hunter were influence peddling. The duo also tried to defend the Biden crime family by suggesting it was only “bad optics” and “misrepresentations” on their end, Hostin also argued that former President Trump was much worse.
The segment started with moderator Whoopi Goldberg chiding House Republicans for opening an official impeachment inquiry on Tuesday. She falsely claimed Republicans had been investigating Hunter for “seven years” and challenged them to meet the Democratic Party’s impeachment standard set with Trump (click “expand”):
So, something has happened that the Republicans have been hoping for and praying for that they've been just -- everything they could think of and they finally have found a way and announced it. They are going to go forward with trying to impeach the president of the United States right now, Joe Biden.

Hunter Biden. That's seven years you went after him. You’ve been saying you’re going – Do whatever you have to do and when you get all the stuff you think you got, come to us and let us know. I want to see. See, because we took our time and made sure we had our ducks in a row so I want to see the same thing.
This was eventually followed up with Farah Griffin admitting there was an appearance of “impropriety related to Biden's involvement with Hunter,” but chalked it up to unfortunate “misrepresentations” from Joe. She also lamented that “Bringing [Hunter] to the state dinner I think was bad optics.”
Farah Griffin then proclaimed: “I have yet to see – and this is me, Alyssa Farah – evidence of a crime. The bar is high crimes and misdemeanors for impeachment.” She also called impeachment a waste of time since “this is dead on arrival in the Senate.” Co-host Joy Behar agreed by calling it all “theater,” which was not The View’s position with the Trump impeachments.
Hostin followed suit and announced that people would find her position “shocking” because she too believed “there has been some impropriety.” She admitted, “there are instances where Hunter Biden, in an attempt to show access to the vice presidency, the vice president's office made phone calls to daddy.”
Pointing to Hunter’s shady business dealings in China and Ukraine, Hostin asserted that, “There's no way that political influence wasn't a part of that.”
But despite all that, she accused Republicans of “trivializing what impeachment is” and immediately tried to downplay the evidence against Biden by arguing it didn’t really matter because Trump’s transactions were far worse.
“Our former twice impeached disgraced former president -- accused of, you know, talking to President Zelenskyy of Ukraine and trying to do a quid pro quo and trade information for arms when his country was about to start a -- go to war with Russia, that's -- don't you think that's pretty significant?” she ranted.
Goldberg chimed in again, this time to flaunt her profound ignorance of what an impeachment investigation and trial were by demanding Republicans investigate and bring their evidence to court:
But my point is if there's improprieties, do the legal thing. Take it to court and make it show us what it is. It's not enough to say, “Well, so-and-so said this is what it is.” No, they wanted to find out what did the last guy do? Here's all the stuff he did. If there's stuff they're saying, not you, but if there are things that people are saying that the White House did that are illegal, then prove it.
At the end of the segment, ABC forced Hostin to read a legal note that was nothing but White House talking points and lies:
The White House has called the inquiry, quote, “extreme politics at its worst” and said, despite months of investigating, Republicans have found, quote, “no evidence of wrongdoing.” Hunter Biden has denied he did anything wrong by engaging in foreign work in Ukraine and China.
Sunny Hostin and Alyssa Farah Griffin’s defense of President Biden was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from Dawn and Vicks. Their contact information is linked.

11:04:00 a.m. EasternWHOOPI GOLDBERG: So, something has happened that the Republicans have been hoping for and praying for that they've been just -- everything they could think of and they finally have found a way and announced it. They are going to go forward with trying to impeach the president of the United States right now, Joe Biden.
And I say, listen, you had seven years to go after Beau, we see how well that went. So go ahead.
SARA HAINES: Hunter.
GOLDBERG: Hunter. Sorry. Hunter Biden. That's seven years you went after him. You’ve been saying you’re going – Do whatever you have to do and when you get all the stuff you think you got, come to us and let us know. I want to see. See, because we took our time and made sure we had our ducks in a row so I want to see the same thing.

ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: I'll say this, and some of you aren’t going to like this. I think there's impropriety related to Biden's involvement with Hunter, I think there have been some misrepresentations. He said Hunter didn't make money from China. He said he never met with any of his Ukrainian business partners which he had. Bringing him to the state dinner I think was bad optics. I have yet to see – and this is me, Alyssa Farah – evidence of a crime. The bar is high crimes and misdemeanors for impeachment.
And let me just tell you, I know Congress very well, this is dead on arrival in the Senate. They don't have 65 votes to convict Joe Biden.
[Applause]
JOY BEHAR: Theater. Theater.
SUNNY HOSTIN: People are going to be shocked. I completely agree with that. I think if there has been –
FARAH GRIFFIN: But I have more.
HOSTIN: Shocking, right?
FARAH GRIFFIN: I have more though.
[Applause]
HOSTIN: I think there has been some impropriety. I think there are instances where Hunter Biden, in attempt to show access to the vice presidency, the vice president's office made phone calls to daddy. Those have been taped. I think we have the situation with his work in Ukraine. We have the situation with his work in China. There's no way that political influence wasn't a part of that. I don't like nepotism across the board. I mean, what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
And so, I understand there's real concern there but what is upsetting to me is that Kevin McCarthy and the Republican -- this right-wing Republican Party is trivializing what impeachment is. High crimes and misdemeanors. Our former twice impeached disgraced former president --
BEHAR: Accused of --
HOSTIN: Accused of, you know, talking to President Zelenskyy of Ukraine and trying to do a quid pro quo and trade information for arms when his country was about to start a -- go to war with Russia, that's -- don't you think that's pretty significant?

GOLDBERG: Yeah, but that's what they always do.

HOSTIN: Oh, thank you. The White House has called the inquiry, quote, “extreme politics at its worst” and said, despite months of investigating, Republicans have found, quote, “no evidence of wrongdoing.” Hunter Biden has denied he did anything wrong by engaging in foreign work in Ukraine and China.
