Disney and ABC’s The View was flooded with racism again on Monday, as the liberal ladies reacted to Florida adopting new standards for their black history courses and pushed misinformation peddled by Vice President Kamala Harris (D). During their unhinged and profanity-laced hot takes, racist co-host Sunny Hostin attacked ALL white people by insisting they “continue to reap the benefits” of slavery. Meanwhile, moderator Whoopi Goldberg suggested Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) was trying to bring back slavery.
Largely ignoring (in one case scoffing) the fact the curriculum was written by multiple black scholars, Goldberg claimed they put it together without talking to any black people. “I feel like they didn't talk to any African Americans because we could have told them about the history, and nor have any -- anyone seemingly gone to the Smithsonian to find out anything,” she decried.
She went on to suggest they think slavery was a “lie.”
Following a commercial break, Hostin, a staunchly anti-white racist, opined about how “slavery continued” in America after it was abolished:
You know, when you talk about enslaved people and the -- just the horrible things that happened to slavery, what we often forget is that slavery continued. Right?
So you sort of erase then Jim Crow and you erase reconstruction, and you erase the sundown laws, and you just start erasing the wealth gap and the inequality, and you erase the fact that while black people, maybe he taught his son how to be a blacksmith, this country was built on the backs of black labor for free.
“So, don't sit here and tell me one side of the story that black people may have had an enhancement when white people really benefitted the most and continue to do so today,” she sneered. “I believe that's what they're trying to hide.”
The racist said it was “upsetting” to her “when people say, ‘But I didn't have anything to do with it. I didn't own slaves.’” “No, but you continue to reap the benefits of it!” she exclaimed.
As they were going to another break, Goldberg suggested DeSantis was trying to bring back slavery:
We're telling you this history. It's our American history because you need to know so we don't repeat it. And here you come, DeSantis, trying to repeat it.
Well, you know what? As long as the Smithsonian is standing, as long as there are books, as long as there are families – because remember, we didn't have books. All these stories come to us from our families. You don't call our families liars. They know what happened because their grandma's, grandma's grandma's grandma told them.
“You're a disgrace,” Goldberg finally shouted at the camera.
The View’s racism was made possible because of lucrative sponsorships from CarShield and Ensure. Their contact information is linked.

11:28:15 a.m. EasternWHOOPI GOLDBERG: Hey. Welcome back, you know, we're still without writers and stuff, and so trying to get through everything that's happened over the weekend and what's all the insanity going on in the world, like, Wednesday Florida's Board of Education approved what they're calling standards for African American history.
I feel like they didn't talk to any African Americans because we could have told them about the history, and nor have any -- anyone seemingly gone to the Smithsonian to find out anything. You know, there are all of these former slaves who have given their testimony. You can go to the Smithsonian and hear them, but they must think it's a lie.

SUNNY HOSTIN: You know, when you talk about enslaved people and the -- just the horrible things that happened to slavery, what we often forget is that slavery continued. Right?
So you sort of erase then Jim Crow and you erase reconstruction, and you erase the sundown laws, and you just start erasing the wealth gap and the inequality, and you erase the fact that while black people, maybe he taught his son how to be a black smith, this country was built on the backs of black labor for free.
The other part of it is more than 100 political elites in the country today have families linked to slavery. A fifth of the nation's congressmen, living presidents, Supreme Court justices, and governors are direct descendants of ancestors who enslaved people. That's how they made their money.
President Joe Biden and every living former U.S. president except for Trump because he came from Germany. We don't know what his family was doing there. But they're direct descendants of slaveholders including Barack Obama because he had a white mother.
So, don't sit here and tell me one side of the story that black people may have had an enhancement when white people really benefitted the most and continue to do so today. I believe that's what they're trying to hide.
GOLDBERG: Talk about the banking. Talk about all of it. Talk about the banking that, you know, if you were black, you couldn't get a loan. Okay? Talk about --
HOSTIN: Couldn't get a home.
GOLDBERG: You couldn’t get a home.
HOSTIN: You couldn't get the vet loan.
GOLDBERG: You couldn't drink certain -- water from certain --
HOSTIN: But that's why it's so upsetting when people say, “But I didn't have anything to do with it. I didn't own slaves.” No, but you continue to reap the benefits of it!
And I think if you wanted DeSantis or whoever in Florida, if you want to teach both sides of those stories, I'm all for that.
