As we’ve stated time and time again, advocacy for unrestricted immigration is a gateway issue that Univision leverages in order to impose the rest of the left-wing policy pu-pu platter upon its audience. You can now count suppression of parental notification of gender transition in public schools as part of that policy array.
Take a look at how anchors Jorge Ramos and Ilia Calderón (who is co-moderating the upcoming GOP presidential primary debate at the Reagan Library) framed a report on the upcoming lawsuit against the Chino Valley Unified School District due to its decision to require parental notification:
JORGE RAMOS: In California, the sexual identity of many students has become a real debate. What is happening is that one of the school districts requires that parents be notified if their children have changed their gender identity.
(....)
ILIA CALDERÓN: Something similar is happening in Texas. The Katy Independent School District board approved a new policy that requires parents to be notified if their children identify as transgender or non-binary if they want to change their name or use different pronouns at school. The policy prohibits teachers from teaching information regarding changes to one’s gender.
In this particular instance, the anchors framed a report on the notification fight in Chino Valley by controversializing the issue. Ramos achieved this by calling child gender transition, as opposed to concealment of the aforementioned transition from parents, the “real debate”. If child gender transition is the “real debate”, then the notification fight is not.
Calderón’s quick hit on the school board in Katy, Texas had the same effect; as if to say, “this very bad thing that is happening in California is also happening in Texas”.
As always with these reports, it is interesting to note what is concealed from viewers. In this case:
- The recent parents’ rights protests in California.
- Proposed legislation that would ban parental notification of gender transition statewide
- The passage and signing of legislation that made California a sanctuary for children and teens seeking gender transition.
- Proposed legislation that would classify the willful non-affirmation of a child’s chosen gender as child abuse.
It is fair, therefore, to say that Univision has chosen to side with groomers against children and their parents.
Univision’s viewership deserves better. Unfortunately, “better” is not coming any time soon.

JORGE RAMOS: In California, the sexual identity of many students has become a real debate. What is happening is that one of the school districts requires that parents be notified if their children have changed their gender identity. Dulce Castellanos reports.
DULCE CASTELLANOS: The Chino Valley Unified School District is in the crosshairs of the California Attorney General’s office, who filed a lawsuit to prevent them from implementing a new rule that requires parental notification if their child identifies with a gender opposite to the one recorded at birth.
"I am sure that as long as things are fair, this policy should be maintained," said the president of the school district.
Rules that parents of students like Roberto Calderón supported.
ROBERTO CALDERÓN: Suppose that if my son, I’m the one that should be told if he is going through something, (and) not that all the parents are told what is happening with a certain- with a certain child.
CASTELLANOS: Attorney General Rob Bonta accuses the district of violating California’s constitution, and state laws that protect students from within the LGBTQ+ community, and their right to privacy with regard to their sexual orientation.
“The forced outing policy wrongfully endangers the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of non-conforming students who lack an accepting environment in the classroom and at home,” said Attorney General Bonta.
The school district clarified that it will be administrators who notify parents and not teachers, because as these policies are added, some teachers say that they will need training in order to implement these rules. Chino Valley in San Bernardino was the first district to adopt this type of rule, followed by districts in Temecula and Murrieta in Riverside, all three in conservative communities.
LUIS CARRILLO: School districts may not implement new rules that are against the constitution of this state, or that are against the laws of this state.
CASTELLANOS: A debate that has caused protests and demonstrations, and is expected to advance to the higher courts. In Chino, California: Dulce Castellanos, Univision.
