Bizarre Castro Propaganda on the Front of the NY Times Travel Section
January 7th, 2018 6:38 PM
The front of the New York Times Sunday Travel page featured some pretty blatant bias by omission, courtesy of contributor Tony Perrottet, on the late Cuban dictators Fidel Castro -- a whitewashing of Communist history well-suited to the paper’s Red Century series of articles that left out the brutal history of Soviet and Chinese communism. The headline over the story, which covered three-quarters…

Not National News: After Years of Tax Hikes, Connecticut Still Teeters
January 7th, 2018 6:38 PM
The national press isn't particularly interested in telling the nation how bad the state government's fiscal situation is in Connecticut. While that apathy may be partially due to its small size and population, a much larger contributing factor may be that blue-state, high-tax, high-spending policies have pushed a formerly prosperous state perilously close to insolvency. The problem, as has also…

As the broadcast network morning newscasts on Saturday caught up with Fox and Friends in giving attention to the renewed probe into the Clinton Foundation by the FBI, CBS This Morning stood out in showcasing the most blatant bias against the investigation as Kathleen Kingsbury of the New York Times was given a forum to prejudge the probe as a "political vendetta." Cold Snap: Media Hypocritically Freak After Trump Global Warming Tweet
Business
January 5th, 2018 12:01 PM
As much of the U.S. shivers under extreme cold, the liberal media lashed out at President Donald Trump over a tweet about global warming, portraying him as stupid or confused about the difference between weather and climate. Trump had tweeted, “In the East, it could be the COLDEST New Year’s Eve on record. Perhaps we could use a little bit of that good old Global Warming that our Country, but not…

Eight Times the Liberal Media Screwed Up on Trump-Russia in 2017
January 5th, 2018 9:30 AM
On Tuesday, President Trump tweeted he would be “announcing THE MOST DISHONEST & CORRUPT MEDIA AWARDS OF THE YEAR” on Monday “in various categories from the Fake News Media." There’s bias, but then there’s sheer incompetence. The biggest media obsession last year was the search for evidence of Trump’s supposed collusion with Russia, in the process, liberal reporters in 2017 repeatedly…

Character Counts, But So Do Results
January 4th, 2018 6:33 PM
I do not make it a practice to comment on the work of fellow columnists, though occasionally some care to comment on mine, which is fine. I'm happy to help them make a living. An exception will be made here because of New York Times "conservative" columnist, Bret Stephens.

Death No Escape from NYT Bias: Castro Treated Better Than Mormon Head
January 4th, 2018 4:07 PM
More proof that the New York Times’ political bias extends into death. The latest hostile treatment of a figure who ran afoul of the liberal line on social issues appeared Thursday, in an obituary of the president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormon church). Thomas Monson received less sympathetic treatment than did ruthless longtime Communist dictator, Fidel Castro.

Meryl Streep Shifts Blame for #MeToo Silence to Melania and Ivanka
Culture
January 3rd, 2018 3:57 PM
Apparently, an actress can dodge a bullet by making an issue about conservative politics. Actress Meryl Streep, interviewed by the New York Times along with her co-star in The Post Tom Hanks, was asked by Cara Buckley about her silence on sex predator Harvey Weinstein, the producer Streep worked with for many years. She deflected the question by telling Buckley, “I don’t want to hear about the…

NYT’s Passive Coverage of Iranian Protests Draws Mockery, Outrage
January 2nd, 2018 2:42 PM
As the protests in cities and towns across Iran enter their sixth day, the New York Times has caught a lot of flak in the wake of its passive, often misleading initial coverage of the political uprising, as people rebel against the oppressive state, and shout slogans blaming the government for focusing on Hezbollah and Palestine while ignoring issues at home. The paper’s Tehran-based reporter…

NYT Spins Desperately to Protect Mueller, Cast Dems as Law & Order
January 1st, 2018 4:49 PM
Sunday’s New York Times featured the latest attack by reporter Nicholas Fandos on the GOP for daring to criticize special counsel Robert Mueller and his increasingly partisan-looking investigation fo Donald Trump: “Attacks on Mueller and F.B.I. Open a Rift in the Party of Law and Order.” The text box: “Worry that a drive by Trump loyalists could stain the G.O.P.” Fandos has proven himself a…
