To hear the media spin it, the rioting and looting that took place around the country these past few weeks was a Boston Tea Party-like response to the years Donald Trump and the GOP’s fanning the “flames” of “racial hatred.” The following are the Top 15 worst outbursts by liberal hosts and reporters during their coverage of the George Floyd protests and subsequent riots: 

Over the course of the day on Monday, MSNBC repeatedly warned that Republicans may “seize” on left-wing calls to defund police departments across the country in an effort to “demonize” Democrats. There was less concern that the radical policy proposal was outside of the mainstream and could endanger public safety.

On Morning Joe, Donny Deutsch calls President Trump a "drunk driver," and depicts Joe Biden as the "designated driver" who will get us home. Later in the show, Deutsch compares President Trump to a "caged animal" who would do anything to win re-election: "cheat, steal, start a war, rig an election." Friday saw unexpectedly great jobs numbers that caused the unemployment rate to go down. It also saw President Trump give a news conference where he said George Floyd would be proud of what is going on across the country. On Friday afternoon, MSNBC repeatedly gushed over Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser ordering city workers to paint the words “Black Lives Matter” in bright yellow letters down 16th Street leading up to the White House. The left-wing cable channel hailed the political stunt as “a big yellow middle finger to the White House” and the newest “monument” in the nation’s capital.

MSNBC Live host Katy Tur could have used Thursday's show to try to see if there was a way that the current protests across the country in the aftermath of the death of George Floyd could bring the country together. Appearing as a guest on Sunday's AM Joy, MSNBC weekend host Ali Velshi again rationalized the actions of rioters as he got up on a soap box and preached about "institutional, socioeconomic injustice and racism" against the black population being the motivation for riots in Minneapolis and other cities. His commentary elicited an "amen" from liberal host MSNBC host Joy Behar.

"Apocalypse Now" would have been a fitting title for this Morning Joe segment from today's show. It featured three women painting a terrifying portrait of life under President Trump, and a prediction of further doom to come. 

Following up on his Monday night monologue that spared no one, FNC host Tucker Carlson continued to savage the liberal media (but CNN and MSNBC in particular) on Tuesday and Wednesday for “assisting the riots” as glorified “revolutionary organizations” from their comfy, safe homes and TV studios.

From the start, TV news media have done their darnedest to paint the riots happening across the country in a positive light. While many journalists have glossed over the widespread violence by relying on misleading characterizations like “mostly peaceful,” others have outright defended and justified the rioting.

On Monday's Andrea Mitchell Reports show on MSNBC, PBS NewsHour White House correspondent Yamiche Alcindor sounded more like an advocate than a reporter. She dismissed Trump's focus on violence caused by Antifa and urged him that "in reality," he should be focused on "overwhelmingly peaceful people" at the protests.
