Appearing on CBS’s Late Show Monday night, aired early Tuesday morning, MSNBC’s Morning Joe co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski joined liberal comedian Stephen Colbert in predictably trashing President Trump on everything from impeachment to Iran. The trio were “hopeful” Trump will “pay for all the lies.”

In a Sunday report about how MSNBC failed in their duty to report facts to their viewers in the midst of Iran’s missile attack on U.S. bases in Iraq last week, Fox News Channel media reporter and host of MediaBuzz, Howard Kurtz unloaded on the liberal cable news outlet for pushing Iran’s state-media propaganda and scaring the families of service members.

On her MSNBC show, after praising Iran for having "stepped up" and admitting it shot down the airliner, Joy Reid explicitly adopts Iran's Trump-blaming position on the matter. Using the identical term that Iran employed, Reid put the onus for the shootdown on Trump's "adventurism." 

Given the many embarrassments the Iranian regime has suffered over the last week it is hard to see the strike that took out Qasem Soleimani as anything but a win for the United States, but that didn't stop MSNBC Live from declaring Russia to be the big winner, because of course it is.  

Qasem Soleimani was responsible for thousands of deaths, including hundreds of American soldiers, but instead of commemorating the death of a war criminal, liberal reporters and hosts filled their broadcasts with somber tones as they mourned the loss of the “bold” “revered” “military genius” and Iranian “cult figure.”  

Following the death of Iranian Gen. Qasem Soleimani, it’s clear that many liberal analysts, commentators, contributors, journalists, and pundits would have fallback positions at Iran’s English-language, state-run Press TV if any would lose their jobs. For MSNBC’s Hardball host Chris Matthews, he would have quite the resume. Not only is the economy doing well, but people's perceptions about the economy are also positive. On Thursday's MSNBC Live, host Stephanie Ruhle declared that such positive economic indicators "should concern Democrats looking ahead to November" because voters are giving President Trump credit for them.
