On Wednesday's Morning Joe, during a discussion of former Vice President Joe Biden's surprisingly strong showing against Senator Bernie Sanders on Super Tuesday, MSNBC contributor and former Newsweek editor Jon Meacham earnestly endorsed Joe Biden for president as a "more rational choice" historically over President Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders. In an exchange between radical left-wing Hollywood director Rob Reiner and MSNBC anchor Katy Tur on Wednesday afternoon, Reiner came across as the more reasonable one. While he voiced his support for Joe Biden in the 2020 Democratic race, Tur worried that the liberal former Vice President would not be “extreme” enough to the liking of far-left voters.

As Michael Bloomberg announced he was dropping out of the 2020 presidential race and endorsing Joe Biden Wednesday morning, MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle gushed that “Mike can get it done” and still defeat President Trump in November by backing Biden. She also hyped how Bloomberg’s digital campaign could “supercharge” the Democratic frontrunner.

On the Monday before “Super Tuesday,” longtime MSNBC host Chris Matthews came on the air and promptly, tartly announced he was retiring, that “this will be my last Hardball.” His language and tone strongly implied he was being pushed out. Politically, it felt like MSNBC was shedding a host that had become a liability with the Sanders socialists who are a decent chunk of their audience.

On Morning Joe, Scarborough makes an impassioned plea, suggesting that "after four years of Donald Trump, maybe we need to go back to square one with the Obama administration and then move forward from there." He was unhappy Obama was described as a "conservative sellout," and Scarborough knows about being a sellout. 

MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell gushed over the happy, liberal Hollywood voters who were excited to spend hours in line on Super Tuesday. With Joe Biden winning state after state on Super Tuesday, the hosts on MSNBC plotted strategy on how to wrap this thing up now and turn to defeating Donald Trump. Appearing with Brian Williams, Rachel Maddow and Al Sharpton strategized on-air about coallessing around Biden. Chuck Todd even wondered of a “penalty” for Elizabeth Warren staying in the race.

While some of the hosts praised Matthews, Joy Behar revealed she was fed up with the host’s sexist remarks about women. Appearing on MSNBC Tuesday morning to voice her 2020 support for Michael Bloomberg, daytime host Judge Judy Sheindlin blasted the socialist revolution being preached by Bernie Sanders as “a joke” and accused the far-left presidential candidate of trying to “fool the American public.” Anchor Stephanie Ruhle feebly attempted to defend Sanders and his supporters.
