After letting rioters burn down his city, Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey came under fire from left-wing activists this week after he wouldn’t support the calls to defund and abolish his city’s police department. On Good Morning America Monday, the Democrat mayor faced more pushback from ABC anchor George Stephanopoulos to bow to the far-left’s radical demands.

The news media are trying to rationalize violent riots. CBS News published a piece headlined, “Protests underscore worsening racial wealth gaps: ‘Justifiable anger.’” Authors Aimee Picchi and Irina Ivanova exploited the murder of George Floyd to suggest that the “nationwide protests” have also drawn “attention to the stark socioeconomic differences between black and white Americans.”

Sunday’s New York Times tried to put “law and order conservatives,” not liberal riot supporters, on the defensive in the violent aftermath of the unjust death under police custody of George Floyd in Minneapolis: “Floyd Case Presents Ideological Challenge for Law-and-Order Conservatives.” The text box: “Even Limbaugh and Pirro can’t defend an officer’s actions.”
