On Morning Joe, Joe Scarborough claims that "illegal immigrants," in addition to other reprobates like anti-Semites and Vladimir Putin, will like Speaker Mike Johnson's legislative proposal to fund aid to Israel without other spending items.

The rash of current plea deals of former Trump lawyers and advisers to Fulton County prosecutor Fani Willis is causing the usual excitement -- and the usual premature glee -- on MSNBC's Morning Joe that the "walls are closing in" on Donald Trump and his post-election tactics.

On his 80th birthday, Morning Joe hails Mike Barnicle—who was forced to resign by the Boston Globe for a variety of journalistic improprieties—"as one of the greatest columnists of the 20th century."

On Morning Joe, Willie Geist says that Trump lawyers John Eastman, Sidney Powell, and Rudy Giuliani make frequent TV appearances because they "crave" attention. Meanwhile, Geist himself is omnipresent on NBC and MSNBC, with eight different gigs.

Morning Joe emphasized politics would be put aside as Hurricane Idalia roars. Then minutes later in live coverage, the very first question to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis during his briefing on the state's response was: "What do you think about Trump? You know, he's a resident here in Florida, and he hasn't commented on Idalia at all yet." DeSantis said "It's not my concern."

On Morning Joe, MSNBC analyst Ken Dilanian, who had been a big promoter of the debunked Russian collusion conspiracy theory, accuses the Trump defense team in the January 6 trial before Judge Chutkan of harboring a "reality distortion field."
