Despite initially claiming she wanted to avoid politics on her new NBC daytime show, on Friday, during a fawning interview with the female cast members of Saturday Night Live, host Megyn Kelly fondly reminisced over comedian Kate McKinnon’s sorrowful opening of SNL after Hillary Clinton’s defeat in the 2016 election.

With the return of the NBC sitcom Will & Grace set to take place on Thursday at 9 p.m., the show’s cast and its producers -- stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally and creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick -- have made appearances on several television talk shows to promote the program’s revival.

On Wednesday, syndicated daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres told NBC’s Megyn Kelly that she would refuse to have President Trump on her show because “There’s nothing I’m going to say to him that’s gonna change him and I don’t want to give him a platform because it just...validates him.”

For several years, CNN and fellow liberal channel MSNBC have battled to see which of these “news” networks will rise above the basement in ratings. While this long-running tug-of-war has gone on, the Fox News Channel has maintained its dominance in ratings.

After Wednesday’s attempted murder of Republican congressmen, their staffs, and a protective detail by a far-left activist, NBC’s Tom Brokaw went in the opposite direction, lecturing views on Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly about how America faces the “common threats” of conspiracy theorists like 9/11 truther Alex Jones.

For many years, liberal pundit Alan Colmes often provided the “balanced” part of the Fox News Channel motto of being “Fair and Balanced.” That came to abrupt end when the 66-year-old former stand-up comedian, radio host and co-host of the Hannity & Colmes weeknight news and interview program passed away after a brief illness on Thursday.
