On two occasions Thursday night during the opening panel segment of MSNBC’s The Last Word, liberals Charles Pierce of Esquire and MSNBC’s Joy Reid mocked radio talk show host and Resurgent writer Erick Erickson for leading the anti-Donald Trump movement when he himself is “quite the vulgarian” like Trump.

In one of the more intriguing historical analogies you’ll see made in this presidential election, MSNBC’s The Last Word host Lawrence O’Donnell compared the 13 days until the March 15 Republican primaries that could decide whether or not Donald Trump is the GOP presidential nominee to the Cuban Missile Crisis from the 1960s. 

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan doesn’t get defended much on liberal MSNBC. But host Lawrence O’Donnell did just that during live Super Tuesday coverage. After Donald Trump threatened Paul Ryan, O’Donnell called on Trump to “check the Constitution,” telling the businessman he would “discover the Speaker of the House is far more powerful than the president on all matters of domestic governing.” 

On MSNBC’s Last Word, Wednesday, socialist host Lawrence O’Donnell brought on socialist professor Frances Fox Piven to tout the campaign of socialist Bernie Sanders. Viewers will be relieved to know that none of this is extreme, however. Piven insisted, “I happen to believe we desperately need to do that, however. And, so, does Bernie Sanders, but not in radical ways.”

Liberal MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell on Tuesday played mind reader and asserted that the late Antonin Scalia would want Barack Obama to appoint his replacement. This claim is false. One would only have to ask Antonin Scalia.

The liberal and often inappropriate Triumph the Insult Comic Dog joined MSNBC host Lawrence O’Donnell to close out Tuesday’s Last Word and along with going after Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, and Donald Trump, Triumph took a few witty shots at former MSNBC (and soon to be Russia Today) host Ed Schultz and Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.

As the media are beating their breasts about Ted Cruz's hit on Donald Trump for exhibiting "New York values" and hence proving he's an ill fit for Iowa Republicans, I noticed something the other night on MSNBC's The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell which seems to illustrate the New York-based liberal media's mockery and disdain for conservative rural America.

Discussing Iran’s seizure of 10 U.S. Sailors (and release) on Wednesday’s edition of MSNBC’s The Last Word, former UK Ministry of Defense official and foreign affairs correspondent Michael Kay declared that there was “nothing alarming” and instead “standard protocol” taking place in the video released by Iranian state TV of the nine men and one woman being boarded and held for one day.

"The lessons that he has had to teach, the elementary lessons of governing that he has struggled to teach this Congress is something that no one else has had to go through," harumphed Lawrence O'Donnell during post-State of the Union coverage on MSNBC.
