On Monday's New Day program on CNN, as the show discussed and showed sympathy for one of its guests who recently received racist hate mail online, there was a conspicuous absence of detail about who sent the offensive mail and even what political issue it involved.

CNN political commentator David Gregory calls it a "miracle" that in the midst of the pandemic, the 2020 election was supposedly "the safest and most secure election in our history." Gregory also claimed that there was "NO  evidence of irregularities or fraud." 

CNN hosts John Berman and Alisyn Camerota mock former First Lady Melania Trump for not revealing during the Trump presidency that she and the president had received coronavirus vaccinations.  Berman wondered: "is that 'Be Best?,'" a reference to Melania's advocacy program for children. 

Laws of supply and demand? Meh! The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office has calculated that Biden's $15/hr. minimum wage would kill as many as 3.7 million jobs. But on this morning's New Day, CNN commentator Errol Louis said it was "shameful" of Democrat Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia not to support the increase.

Forget a second failed impeachment attempt. CNN never stops seeing trouble for Trump right around the corner. And they love it. On New Day, John Berman, Erica Hill, and Elie Honig laughed and joked about the potential legal problems facing President Trump and Rudy Giuliani.

On CNN's New Day, co-host John Berman says Nikki Haley doesn't deserve a Profile in Courage for her criticism of President Trump's post-election "I won big" routine, as reported in a Politico article.  Berman in effect brands Haley an opportunist, calling her a "weathervane" who "twists with the political winds. And she sees the political wind blowing against" Trump. 

Who cares if Joe Biden was just joshing when he said he wanted to govern in a bipartisan way? At least he didn't curse out Mitt Romney and Susan Collins when he met with them and other Republican senators at the White House yesterday. Ain't Joe wonderful?
