Left-wing cable networks CNN and MSNBC are desperate to blame any potential hiccups in the government funding fight on the conservative wing of the Republican Party. As the deadline for Congress to pass a spending bill approaches, reporters on both networks have been stewing over “hardliners” and their “far-right” demands during budget negotiations.

Cable news continues to air live programming despite this, the week after Christmas, being a ratings wasteland mostly destined for year-end recaps and the like. Such is NOT the case on CNN, which makes the most of this time in order to advance a narrative previously debunked on CNN air.

On Tuesday, Texas lawmakers passed a bill which, if enacted, would permit state officials to arrest and deport illegal aliens. The media, aghast at the idea of anyone being deported ever for any reason, swiftly condemned the bill for “causing a lot of fear in the migrant community.”

Liberal TV news networks have given a pass to New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham (D), who last week attempted to roll back gun rights in her state. CBS and NBC have hidden the story from their audiences, while the coverage on ABC, CNN, and MSNBC has been mixed at best.

On Monday morning, CNN regulars devoted a segment to griping about Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy calling out racism by some Democrats, comparing them to the KKK.
