Trump Impeachment 1 and 2

Seeing as how CNN’s existence can be boiled down to gaslighting Americans by deeming most everything President Trump and those not in the Resistance utter as conspiracy theories, perhaps CNN should look itself in the mirror. On Monday afternoon’s CNN Newsroom, host Brooke Baldwin entertained a wild conspiracy theory about not holding a Senate impeachment trial.

On Sunday's Meet the Press, NBC reporter Heidi Pryzbyla sounded in sync with the Democrats on how tremendously weighty this impeachment is as a historical marker. President Trump violated "one of the Founders' primal fears," foreign interference in our elections. 

Ardently anti-Trump actor Robert De Niro felt right at home on The View set Monday, as the liberal co-hosts reveled in his hatred for the President. Even as he was there to promote his newest films, the hosts were more interested in hearing his bizarre takes on President Trump and his children.

The View co-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan McCain had a nasty fight on Monday’s show when the Republican co-host accused her liberal co-hosts of not wanting to hear a conservative perspective, “ever.” The argument started as the hosts were hyperventilating that Republicans were not “fulfilling their oath” to impeach President Trump and McCain tried to rein in her co-hosts’ emotional reactions…

On Monday, the network morning shows seized on laughable Democratic spin accusing Senate Republicans of “failing to be impartial jurors” in the upcoming impeachment trial of President Trump. This from the same media that hasn’t expressed any concern over Democratic senators running for president while presiding over the impeachment of the Republican incumbent they’re vying to replace.

The networks on Monday morning offered a collective shrug over the news that a Democratic Congressman is switching parties over impeachment. NBC’s Today skipped the story entirely. ABC’s Good Morning America allowed 12 seconds on Congressman Jeff Van Drew and CBS This Morning managed 37 seconds. 

MRC's Brent Baker was monitoring CBS correspondent Major Garrett's podcast The Takeout with three CBS "embeds" in primary states -- LaCrai Mitchell in South Carolina, Nicole Sganga in Iowa, and Musadiq Bidar in Iowa. He found the impeachment-promoting, impeachment-obsessed Washington press corps had a major disconnect with the country, even from Democratic primary voters.

Paranoia was striking deep on the set of AM Joy today. Host Joy Reid devoted a segment to a discussion of the supposedly serious possibility that President Trump would refuse to leave office after two terms, the constitutional limit of the 22nd Amendment notwithstanding.

The Democratic Party and media crusade to impeach President Trump didn’t appear to be going well Sunday, as New Jersey Democratic Congressman Jeff Van Drew was set to vote against the Articles of Impeachment and become a Republican in the process. CNN host Chris Cuomo began his closing argument Friday night by complaining that Democrats did not fight hard enough to make their case for impeachment. Cuomo also repeatedly used the hashtag #DirtyDonald that recently began trending on Twitter when describing President Trump’s behavior; making him essentially indistinguishable from a Democratic activist.

The Washington Post was adamant. It addressed the House Judiciary Committee’s passage of articles of impeachment this way: "“The House Judiciary Committee has now completed its task, and it has failed miserably. It has approved four articles of impeachment, of which two are ill-defined and two are unsubstantiated." 

Last Sunday, CNN's Brian Stelter complained on Twitter that Fox & Friends responded to the Times and Globe pieces with an on-screen banner, "MEDIA DECLARES TRUMP SHOULD BE IMPEACHED." Stelter fussed: "Who's writing those banners?!" By now, impeaching Trump has now been endorsed by The Boston Globe, the Los Angeles Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, USA Today, and The Washington Post. 

It apparently doesn't take much to trigger CNN as far as President Donald Trump is concerned. In their latest iteration of perpetual outrage, CNN is irked over a funny meme which portrays Trump as the Marvel cartoon character of Thanos who with a snap of his finger, turns the House impeachment crew to dust. 

MRC President Brent Bozell appeared on Trish Regan Primetime on Friday and called out CNN and journalists who won’t do the basics of investigating controversies like Hunter Biden’s role in the Ukrainian company Burisma.
