Liberal journalists like Brian Stelter touted a Trump State of the Union speech as a "Super Bowl for fact checkers." This didn't used to be the case when Obama was president.But several "fact checks" flopped badly.

Ardently anti-Trump View co-host Joy Behar rushed to socialism’s aid during the panel’s discussion about Tuesday night’s State of the Union address. Following NBC’s hostile coverage of President Trump’s State of the Union address and fawning over a “strong” Democratic response from Stacey Abrams Tuesday night, the network decided to get reaction from the far left as it invited on socialist New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for a softball chat about her radical views.

Morning Joe, during today's SOTU discussion, manages to blame President Trump for the late-term abortion/infanticide bills that Dem legislatures have recently adopted. For good measure, the show even blames the prez for the Dems' socialist surge. AOC? Trump's fault!

In a live edition of The Daily Show, host Trevor Noah brought on New York Times columnist Frank Bruni to freak out over the “blood-soaked and lawless” State of the Union. Just like Brian Williams on MSNBC, Bruni fumed over the President daring to bring up abortion: “[Trump was] baiting the Democrats with descriptions of abortion laws that were highly exaggerated.”

The entire crew of CBS This Morning appeared on a special live edition of the Late Show With Stephen Colbert. Unsurprisingly, they were “disturbed” by the President’s talk of a wall on the southern border and of his touting of the U.S. economy. 

While more tamed than NBC’s trainwreck State of the Union coverage, there was still moments of liberal bias Tuesday night on ABC’s coverage that knocked the speech being delivered by a President with “real tension” and praised the Democratic response by Stacey Abrams as having “vivid language and energetic delivery.”

Despite a CBS News/You Gov poll showing 76 percent of viewers approving of President Trump’s Tuesday State of the Union address, CNN chief national correspondent John King blasted the speech as a “disgrace” because it didn’t touch on topics important to liberals. Most notably, according to King, climate change.

Continuing their theme of bashing President Trump on Tuesday night, NBC News reacted to his State of the Union address with scorn by slamming it as incoherent “additive” when not talking about immigration but showing strong affection for Stacey Abrams’s Democratic response that the network deemed “strong” because it “scolded the President.”
