June 19th, 2015 10:37 AM
On Thursday’s network evening newscasts, the CBS Evening News and NBC Nightly News did their parts in touting the supposed state of race relations in America with CBS’s Scott Pelley holding up the deadly shooting in Charleston as “com[ing] at a time of increasing mistrust between blacks and whites” while NBC’s Harry Smith proclaimed that the “virus” of racism from the 1960s “never died.”
AP History of Black Church Attacks Shows No Murders in Over 50 Years
June 19th, 2015 12:38 AM
While emphasizing that it's (supposedly) only a partial list, it appears that the Associated Press felt compelled today to try to claim that there's a long and recent history of murderous racist attacks on black churches (or predominantly black churches) in the U.S.
Somehow, the wire service forgot that a genuine trend needs to continue uninterrupted or at least have some consistency before it…
Williams: Black Support For Voter ID 'Amazing'; Voter Fraud Is 'Rare'
June 17th, 2015 3:12 PM
Poor Juan Williams. So occasionally correct, as when he wrote forcefully on the damage done by an urban culture which has made so many black children "believe that excelling in math and science is 'acting white.'"
But he's also so often egregiously wrong, perhaps never moreso than in his Monday column at the Hill. Williams is astonished that a recent poll, consistent with others, shows that over…
Variety Blasts NBC for Going ‘Way Too Easy’ on Rachel Dolezal
June 17th, 2015 2:58 PM
In a Tuesday article, Variety’s co-editor-in-chief Andrew Wallenstein slammed NBC for its series of exclusive interviews with ex-NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal: “...the most absurd aspect of NBC News’ Dolezal Day was how straight-faced its interviewers sat as their subject grew loonier the more she spoke.”
Daily Beast Writer Worries Dolezal Harming Transgender Rights Push
June 16th, 2015 6:45 PM
I have to admit, watching liberals divide into two mutually-exclusive camps over the Rachel Dolezal "transracial" nonsense is kinda fun. Samantha Allen of the Daily Beast comes down squarely on the side that attacks Dolezal's actions as inexcusable, in no small part because it may be "damaging" the push for cultural normalization of transgenderism.

Reacting to Rachel Dolezal’s interview with MSNBC during which the former Spokane NAACP president claimed to identify as black, CNN brought on Charles Blow of the New York Times and cultural critic Michaela Angela Davis to discuss the situation. They both dismissed the idea that Dolezal could identify as black, saying it represents white privilege.

June 16th, 2015 1:17 PM
On Tuesday's New Day, CNN's Michaela Pereira criticized former NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal for her false narrative about her race: "To a lot of people, it's as though she's just appropriating a lifestyle, a culture, a racial identity. And the fact is, she's told a lot of lies about other things."

On Monday’s The Ed Show, Michael Eric Dyson, MSNBC political analyst and frequent guest host on the "Lean Forward" network, used the ongoing controversy surrounding Rachel Dolezal claiming to be African American to deride Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. MSNBC's Harris-Perry Wonders If a White Couldn't Be 'Trans-Black'
June 15th, 2015 2:10 PM
Rachel Dolezal pretended to be black for years as president of the Spokane NAACP. She's now become the "Caitlyn" Jenner of a "trans-black" discussion. People may want to identify as black when they are not.
Always one for a controversial discussion about race in America, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry decided to jump in on the “trans-black” bandwagon, wondering out loud on her Saturday show:

On Friday's Anderson Cooper 360, during a discussion of revelations that Spokane NAACP leader Rachel Dolezal is a white woman who has spent years pretending to be black, liberal CNN commentator Marc Lamont Hill oddly asserted that her actions constitute "the ultimate exercise in white privilege."
Ironically, after enumerating several reasons why blacks may want to pretend to be white for gain…
Salon, MSNBC.com Distort FNC's Kelly with Edited Quote
June 13th, 2015 4:15 PM
This past week, liberal outlets like Salon.com and MSNBC.com demonstrated just how opposed they are to balanced reporting that includes diverse points of view as they tried to make their readers believe FNC host Megyn Kelly had taken the side of police officer Eric Casebolt in response to video of him roughly handling a 14-year-old African-American girl in McKinney, Texas.

Friday's Morning Edition on NPR spotlighted the author of children's books who asserted that the push for the legalization of same-sex "marriage" is "the same struggle" as the fight against bans on interracial marriage during the 1960s. Karen Grigsby Bates marked the anniversary of the 1967 Loving v. Virginia case, which struck down anti-miscegenation laws in the United States, by featuring…
