On Thursday's New Day, CNN's Alisyn Camerota was seen pressing Republican Senator Mike Lee from the left on President Donald Trump's decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement on global warming. But, later in the program during an interview with Democratic Senator Ed Markey, the same Camerota merely asked for his reaction and then did not challenge his left-wing response.

It only took moments for NBC and CBS to trash President Trump’s decision on Thursday to pull out of the Paris climate agreement, relying on immediate denunciations from Barack Obama and Al Gore. During special coverage following the President’s Rose Garden address announcing his decision, anchors on both networks promptly recited statements from the two Democrats. 

President Trump’s announcement that the United States would be pulling out of the Paris climate accord was bound to be met with journalistic hand-wringing, and MSNBC’s Brian Williams didn’t disappoint. “On a sunny day in the rose garden, what could be defined and construed as a dark speech,” Williams said somberly. “And as you go through it, more like four or five dark speeches in there.”
