Does NBA Have a Conscience? League Cut Ties to Chinese Academy

Culture
Matt Philbin

Let’s face it: “Uyghurs” isn’t easy to spell, and “Stand With Hong Kong” is kind of long for the back of a jersey, at least compared to “BLM.” And being confronted with actual systemic oppression is pretty embarrassing for millionaire athletes who fancy themselves social justice warriors. So the victims of the Chinese communist government really couldn’t expect even a nod from the oh-so woke…

When Will the Media, Hollywood Stop Cowering Before Communist China?

Back there in the stone age of March, 2020, I focused in this space on the media and China. The headline: "The Media’s Communist China Problem." In which was discussed the uncanny willingness of American liberal media ( like CNN and The New York Times) to stand up for, if not bed down with, the government of China - aka the Chinese Communist Party. This week, Attorney General William Barr…

CNNers Admit They Hate ‘Lazy’ Trump: He’s ‘Failed the American Public’

One of the more intriguing affects that Donald Trump’s presidency (and, prior to that candidacy) has been his ability to have the left and their media allies to say “the quiet part” out loud, discard masks of objectivity, and show little care for the public they serve. Such was the case on Tuesday’s Situation Room as host Wolf Blitzer and assembled guests openly stated their hatred for the “…

Nets Cover-Up Biden Quoting Mao, CBS Campaigns for Him Instead

If President Trump were to quote one of the world’s deadliest dictators in a positive way, the liberal media would have a Chernobyl-level meltdown. In fact, they tried to claim his campaign’s use of a bald eagle was a nod to Nazi Germany. But when Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden quoted Mao Tse-tung during a Monday evening campaign event, his allies at ABC, CBS, and NBC covered it…

Big Tech companies, once seen as creating world-changing platforms that gave voice to the voiceless are actually beholden to government censorship — especially in China. The video-conference company Zoom reportedly “announced Thursday that it would help the Beijing government crack down on activists within that country, and would only draw the line at blocking users outside of mainland China…

He tweeted, “YouTube has deleted every comment I ever made about the Wumao ((五毛), an internet propaganda division of the Chinese…
