In the process, Senator Cruz called out Democrats for working on plans to confiscate the firearms of law-abiding Americans. Meanwhile, Stephanopoulos was trying to get Cruz to sign onto Democratic proposals.

CNN host Chris Cuomo interviewed former congressional candidate Elizabeth Heng, who narrated a controversial ad targeting socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and highlighting the dangers of socialism that aired during Thursday night’s Democratic debate. On Joy Reid's MSNBC show Saturday morning, MSNBC contributor Anand Giridharadas says that Joe Biden is a subtle racist who "has to drop out." He focused on Biden's statement from this past week's debate in which he suggested that black parents lack parenting skills.

Thursday night and Friday morning saw the emerging of a new spin from the liberal media. The 2020 Democratic presidential field now has “moderates” and “centrists.” This only makes sense if journalists fully explain just how far left the party has lurched. Instead, they simply referred to people like Joe Biden and Pete Buttigieg as the center. 

The View co-host Joy Behar went on a rant on Friday’s show, urging the show’s liberal viewers to unite behind whomever the Democrat nominee will be. Behar painted a bleak dystopian picture of what America is like now under President Trump, warning liberals that to save the planet and their children, they must vote Democrat, no matter what, in 2020.  

In his 11th Hour time slot after the ABC debate on Thursday, MSNBC anchor Brian Williams caused wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Greenpeace gang when he questioned whether the debate tilted too far left on guns and "green jobs," which he said was an insult to blue-collar voters, that fossil fuels will be banned, and then there are promises of green jobs on the horizon...somewhere. 

On Friday’s CBS This Morning, while analyzing Thursday night’s Democratic debate, correspondent Major Garrett praised left-wing contender Beto O’Rourke as a “candidate of conviction” for declaring that as President he would confiscate guns. The reporter marveled at O’Rourke’s “authenticity” on the topic.
