Look, another institution is hollowing itself out to comply with the demands, real or anticipated, of social justice drones. In this case, it’s a Hollywood institution, so conservatives will probably just shrug. But there are some media personalities who are not OK with it.   

With the election now just weeks away, the good and gentle liberals at The Washington Post are pulling out all the Orange Man Bad stops. Last week the sports section was caught in a dishonest hit piece about a sports site that may or may not be kind of Trumpy. On Wednesday, they turned to a history professor to put an academic sheen on their usual accusations of  [wait for it …] racism!

Judging by the NFL’s primetime social justice awareness special from September 9, it’s clear that the league has completely capitulated to the demands of Black Lives Matter and the radical left.

Taking a page out of today’s headlines, the CW’s Coroner aired an episode on September 9 titled “Confetti Heart” that focused on a white cop shooting and killing an unarmed black man. To hear the protesters in the Black Lives Matter movement, this sort of thing happens every day in America. This show, however, is set in Canada so at least the viewer is spared that line of propaganda.

Here we go again. The Philadelphia Eagles signed a 41-year-old player to come out of retirement and play on their practice squad and Deadspin's Rob Parker is doing the "What about Kaepernick?" howl. Kaep is 10 times better than Josh McCown and he should have gotten the job as Eagles emergency quarterback, Parker moans.

There was no shortage of white guilt TV over the Labor Day weekend. CBS Sports aired a five-hour program on racism and society, titled "Portraits In Black" on Sunday afternoon. ESPN's College GameDay program on Saturday went heavy on social justice, too.

The elitist pomposity behind the phrase “TED talk” has definitely become a point of pop culture mockery in recent years, though the latest social justice initiative put out by the non-profit group that peddles in self-important presentations about tech, science, creativity etc. really amplifies just how unhitched from reality our intellectual class has become.
