Jennings CRUSHES CNN for Defending Credit Cards Tracking Gun Buys

September 12th, 2022 11:22 PM

Sparks flew on Monday night's episode of CNN Tonight when CNN political analyst Scott Jennings landed body blow after body blow against the leftists on the panel with him. The topic at hand was the news that Visa MasterCard and American Express will begin tracking gun purchases used with their credit card coding systems. As the only person with a lick of common sense on CNN, Jennings knows how Orwellian this plot is and proceeded to school his fellow panelists.

Former Clinton crony and CNN political analyst Paul Begala defended the move by credit card companies because "corporate America responds to the market. And the market says they want this." Since according to Begala, "political markets are right now dysfunctional" because they have "the Supreme Court and the filibuster rule."

As soon as Begala was finished, Jennings educated him. "This is the new left-wing way to get things done. The reason the government is not doing it is because the people who want this can't convince the Congress to do it," Jennings explained.

Jennings pointed out that since Democrats "can't convince the Congress to pay off student debt," they decide to "convince Joe Biden to break the law. You get mad about what the Supreme Court is or is going to do. Go riot out in front of their house."

"The politics of intimidation and bullying. And now they've bullied these credit card companies into doing this. And all we're going to end up doing is fighting about what is a suspicious purchase and they're going to end up inundating police precincts with thousands of pages of people like me who went to the gun range to shoot my .38 special," Jennings noted.

Hypocrites like Begala constantly howl about how powerful big corporations are, yet as soon as they being doing the bidding of the left's agenda, they immediately change their tune.

PAUL BEGALA: Corporate America responds to the market. And the market says they want this. I believe in markets. I'm not a socialist. Scott, you may be. But this is what the market --

LAURA COATES: You can respond to that next ok Scott?

BEGALA: It responds better than the political market because they have things in politics like the Supreme Court and the filibuster rule your friend Mitch McConnell abuses all the time. They have the imbalance of representation in the Senate. So, political markets are right now dysfunctional. Thank God economic markets are not. And that's all they're doing is trying to maximize profit.

SCOTT JENNINGS: If Paul keeps saying out loud he's not a socialist, they're not going to let him into the next Democratic National Convention. That's number one. Number two, here's the deal. To me, this is the new left-wing way to get things done. The reason the government is not doing it is because the people who want this can't convince the Congress to do it.

ELLIOT WILLIAMS: That is nonsense.

JENNINGS: I let you talk. Let me talk.

WILLIAMS: Okay.

JENNINGS: You can't convince the Congress to pay off student debt, go convince --

Ah ah ah.

COATES: I want to hear you.

JENNINGS: Joe Biden to break the law. You get mad about what the Supreme Court is or is going to do. Go riot out in front of their house. This is the new way to do it. The politics of intimidation and bullying. And now they've bullied these credit card companies into doing this. And all we're going to end up doing is fighting about what is a suspicious purchase and they're going to end up inundating police precincts with thousands of pages of people like me who went to the gun range to shoot my .38 special.
