On Saturday's World News, ABC correspondent Jonathan Karl informed viewers that former Democratic President Bill Clinton had spoken favorably to Republican Rep. Paul Ryan about his budget plan that is so unpopular with other Democrats.
After recounting President Barack Obama's history of clashing with Rep. Ryan, Karl continued:
JONATHAN KARL: But last year, we saw Bill Clinton reach out to Ryan, saying he hopes Democrats would not just attack his plan but try to work with him, too.
FORMER PRESIDENT BILL CLINTON: I hope the Democrats don't use it as an excuse to do nothing.
REP. PAUL RYAN (R-WI): My guess is that it's gonna sink into paralysis, is what's going to happen. And you know the math, we knew we were putting ourselves out there.
CLINTON: If you ever want to talk about it, give me a call.
RYAN: Yeah, I'll give you a call. Thanks.
