Nanny State Media Now Policing How Macaulay Culkin Raises His Half-Asian Kid

Imagine being a famous white guy with kids and their mother is a different race in this hypersensitive woke environment. The race-obsessed media would just love to tell him how to raise his kids. That’s the scenario facing Home Alone actor Macaulay Culkin’s as he parents half white, half-Asian children with his Asian girlfriend and former Disney Channel child star Brenda Song.

Of course, NBC and other leftists can’t just sic child protective services on Macauley’s family for raising kids while white -– not yet at least. They first tried to get him for making Asian jokes towards his family in a podcast from years back.

In a ridiculous NBCNews.com piece, blogger Kimmy Yam went after Macauley for playfully joking about his family’s race in the past. Not only was she offended at his particular behavior, but she made it a big race thing, couching it as a small part of a larger problem of white parents “othering,” or marginalizing, their kids who are of a different race. Get ready, pretty soon the tolerant people are going prevent interracial marriage.

“As fans celebrate the birth of Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song's son, comments Culkin made in a past podcast interview are drawing criticism among Asian Americans,” Yam wrote. Yeah, congrats on the son, Macauley, let’s talk about how much you don’t deserve to have kids. How nice.

The specific complaint pointed to comments he made during his 2018 appearance on The Joe Rogan Podcast. Culkin joked that Song is “Asian, so I'm gonna have tiny little Asian babies.” He also added, “It's going to be adorable — a bunch of Sean Lennons running around the house, that's what I'm looking for.” Oh never mind, call CPS, quick!

Yeah yeah, we know. It’s a joke, and maybe even one in poor taste, at worst. But NBC News tried to elevate the gravity of Culkin’s comedic stylings by citing angry critics who claimed he had “fetishized” his own children. The outlet then reached out for comment from Pawan Dhingra, a professor of American studies at Amherst College, who claimed that Culkin “objectifies” his family with comments like this.

Dhingra told the outlet, “More than anything, he's exoticizing his partner, and the babies, who were at that point not even born yet.” Oh that’s what he was doing. She added, “I think that's a problem in and of itself — when you are turning a person into an exotic object because of their race, or their biracial heritage.” Oh yes, how fitting for an academic to go into detail about how unfunny a joke is.

In these people’s eyes, Macauley’s sense of humor proves he’s going to not see his children as anything more than the punchline to a racist joke. Geez. You would think that if he was so demeaning towards Asians he would have never had a half-Asian family in the first place. We’ll pray for him, because being a white guy with minority babies in this climate sounds like PR hell.
