MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough joined HBO Real Time host Bill Maher on Friday to discuss how they believe that Republicans are more guilty of spreading misinformation than the left. However, one of their examples of right-wing disinformation was their claim that the Russia collusion hoax is itself a hoax.

Five years ago this weekend, a confused and disoriented liberal media was forced to deal with the fact that Robert Mueller had ended his investigation of the Trump campaign’s alleged “collusion” with Russia without recommending any charges against the then-President.

On Nicolle Wallace's MSNBC show, Andrew Weissmann, the "pitbull" anti-Trump lead prosecutor in the Mueller investigation, admits he doesn't really understand the theory by which Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg bumped up to felonies the misdemeanors with which he charged Donald Trump. But Nicolle Wallace is so thrilled by the indictment that she bursts into hysterical laughter. 

HBO Real Time host Bill Maher was discussing Fox News and its lawsuit with Dominion on Friday with MSNBC’s The Beat host Ari Melber when he asked if MSNBC also simply tells its viewers what it wants to hear, “Can you honestly say MSNBC doesn't do some of that?”

“Before the 2016 election, most Americans trusted the traditional media and the trend was positive…Today, the US media has the lowest credibility—26 percent—among forty-six nations.”

In the media’s eyes, Robert Mueller was a righteous hero like Eliot Ness, devoted to exposing Trump. Even though he was praised as a straight shooter by Democrats before this job, John Durham is now dismissed as a right-wing media fixation.

MSNBC's Nicolle Wallace  suggested that perhaps Robert Mueller should investigate collusion between Republican state legislatures and the United States Supreme Court  because they were conspiring to oppose abortion.

Even though Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report found no evidence against President Donald Trump, Attorney General Bill Barr continues to examine what “merciless” part the media played in that investigation.
