Last Night, the New York Yankees played the Chicago White Sox in the twilit Iowa cornfield where the classic sentimental baseball movie* “Field of Dreams" was filmed. The game turned out great, a classic AL slugfest the White Sox won 9-8 with a walk-off homer. And it seems like a win for baseball. But the The Washington Post couldn’t leave it at that.

Major League Baseball’s Foul Ball

April 9th, 2021 11:57 AM

Washington -- Major League Baseball is following Black Lives Matter and taking a stand on the state of Georgia's recent election legislation. MLB, under the direction of someone by the name of Rob Manfred, is pulling the 2021 All-Star Game out of suburban Atlanta along with the MLB draft. The New York Times, in a front-page editorial (camouflaged as news), said the move by MLB was a "rebuke of…

Take Me Out of the Ballgame

April 7th, 2021 3:43 PM

When the NFL decided not to punish players who kneeled during the pre-game national anthem, some fans reacted by refusing to attend games, buy league merchandise, or watch games on TV. It took several years for the NFL to win fans back and some -- like me -- broke the habit and never returned, in person, or on TV.

NBC Lies About ‘Restrictive’ Georgia Law, Incensed at GOP ‘Pushback’

April 5th, 2021 11:24 PM

If the last few weeks have shown us anything, it’s a reminder that far too many in the liberal media will lie in the name of facts to peddle a narrative. On Monday, NBC Nightly News did its part by lying that Georgia’s voter law was “more restrictive” to voting, passed off facts about the law as merely claims, and griped that many on the right were pushing back against corporations…

The Leftist Effort to Revise American History

August 6th, 2020 6:05 PM

There is very little new under the sun. The monument and statue destruction that we are witnessing has been witnessed in other times and other places. A tyrant's first battlefield is to rewrite history. Most notable were the political purges of Joseph Stalin. The Soviet government erased figures from Soviet history by renaming cities —  such as the Imperial capital of St. Petersburg to…

ESPN’s Perpetually Offended Bryant Aggrieved Over ‘Offensive’ Redskins

November 29th, 2017 8:36 AM
Howard Bryant, the portentously leftist, constantly aggrieved “Truth” columnist for ESPN The Magazine, went on a rant on the back page of the December 4 edition of the biweekly, blasting supposedly “offensive” team nicknames, especially pro baseball’s Cleveland Indians and pro football’s Washington Redskins, in “How Is This Still a Debate?” It hasn’t been much of one lately, though the liberal…
