As far as the Big Three (ABC, CBS, NBC) networks are concerned, Joe Biden’s troubles with touching women are essentially over. At least that’s the impression left when you look at the tiny (1 minutes, 52 seconds) amount of time devoted to the former Vice President’s grabbiness in their coverage of his campaign’s official launch. 

On Thursday morning, NBC’s Today show cheered former Vice President Joe Biden officially entering the 2020 presidential race and delighted in him taking “direct aim” at President Trump with a nasty campaign video. Correspondent Andrea Mitchell was particularly enthralled, touting the “dramatic” video “using images from the Charlottesville white supremacist march.”

Joy Behar might as well have been wearing a Make America Great Again hat on Thursday’s The View, as she passionately hailed Joe Biden’s “patriotic” 2020 presidential video announcement. Not to support President Trump of course, but because of her wistful longing to get America “back” to when “we were the good guys.”  

Don’t be surprised, but CBS This Morning on Thursday covered the launch of Joe Biden without ever mentioning any of his gaffes, including his habit of being grabby with women. Instead, co-host Norah O’Donnell touted “Uncle Joe” talking about America’s “core values.” The CBS journalist also repeated the talking points from the Democrat’s announcement video. 

All three networks led Thursday morning with former Vice President Joe Biden’s long-awaited announcement that he would run for president in 2020. ABC’s Good Morning America focused heavily on Biden’s appeal to Democrats’ “patriotism” and “American values,” with correspondent Terry Moran gushing about Biden taking back this “nationalism” message for “progressives.”

During a fawning report on Thursday’s Today show about former Vice President Joe Biden officially entering the 2020 presidential race, NBC News correspondent Andrea Mitchell briefly noted that the Democratic frontrunner’s first campaign fundraiser will be hosted “At the home of David Cohen, Senior Vice President of Comcast, parent company of NBCUniversal.”

Thursday is reportedly when we should expect former Vice President Joe Biden to formally announce his 2020 campaign for president. After fawning for Biden’s many hints for over a month, ABC and CBS were excited during their Tuesday evening broadcasts. Not so much for NBC, who brought up some of Biden’s lowest moments for liberals.

Joe Biden is expected to jump into the presidential race on Wednesday, but he enters a Democratic nomination fight with a lot of baggage. Most recently the former Vice President has had to deal with complaints about his history of overly-grabby behavior with women, but those stories have overshadowed another famous flaw – his propensity for embarrassing gaffes. 

Matt Damon stepped on a #MeToo rake last year. The Suburbicon star attempted to explore sexual assault allegations following Harvey Weinstein’s downfall. Big mistake. At the time, Sen. Al Franken had become the latest casualty of the #MeToo movement. Several women accused the Liberal Democrat of inappropriate touching. That’s when Damon stepped up to the microphone.
