If there’s one topic the liberal media love to talk about, besides themselves, it’s President Trump. In the midst of the nation mourning the death of former President George H.W. Bush, and their own programming about Monday’s memorial service, CNN brought on Ronald Reagan’s daughter, Patti Davis to blast Trump for damaging the presidency and bringing it down to the level of 9-year-olds.

Much of the coverage of the death of George H.W. Bush’s death has been kind and respectful. Some has been nasty. Then there’s the just plain weird. ABC journalist Terry Moran during streaming coverage, decided to take a shot at overpaid CEOS? Huh? He began by lamenting how Americans are all “in their corners” and not really listening to each other. Moran then stretched for this weird moment:

Amid coverage of the death of former President George H.W. Bush, early Monday afternoon, an MSNBC panel spent more time mourning the state of the Republican Party under President Trump than remembering the 41st president. Though there have been many nice tributes recounting the life and legacy of George H.W. Bush, there’s also been the typically nasty moments one might expect from journalists in the liberal media. On Saturday night, during a two hour-long edition of Hardball, former Newsweek editor Jonathan Alter attacked Bush for going along with Ronald Reagan’s “discredited by history” tax cut policy.

On Monday’s The View, the co-hosts talked opened the show by remembering our 41st president, George H.W. Bush who passed away Friday night. While each host used their voice to praise the former president, Joy Behar took it as an opportunity to slam President Trump, which ended the segment abruptly as Meghan McCain took her to task for doing so.

During an interview with former Vice President Dick Cheney Monday morning to share remembrances of the late President George H.W. Bush, Today show co-host Savannah Guthrie reminded Cheney, who served as Bush 41's defense secretary, that the former president had once criticized him for being too “hardline.” 

The media’s current appreciation for the 41st President stands in sharp contrast to how they covered his presidential campaigns and his administration. When George H. W. Bush was still in the arena, liberal reporters were among his most vociferous critics, who deplored his campaign tactics, accused him of exacerbating racial tensions, and bashed him for failing to adopt liberal policy positions.

Appearing as a guest on Sunday's Reliable Sources on CNN, former longtime ABC News reporter Sam Donaldson misleadingly tried to tie Ronald Reagan to the Massachusetts prison furlough program supported by Michael Dukakis which allowed convicted murderer Willie Horton to escape prison and attack others.
