Former U.S. Navy SEAL Rob O'Neill, a member of the SEAL team which killed Osama bin Laden, honored us at the Media Research Center by being our surprise guest at the 2015 Gala and DisHonors Awards. O'Neill appeared on stage for the awarding of the Celebrity Dumbass Award to actress Ashley Judd, contrasting the vapidity and self-obsession of Hollywood with the humility, sacrifice, and selflessness of America's brave servicemen and women.
"I want to start off by apologizing to our friends over at MSLSD for being a racist by bringing to justice the mastermind, the financier, and the producer of the worst attack in the history of this country," O'Neill quipped, referring to DisHonor Award and Quote of the Year winner Ayman Mohyeldin who in January attacked the late Navy SEAL Chris Kyle as a racist who had gone on "killing sprees" in Iraq.
After a few more quips at the liberal media's expense, O'Neill offered some words of encouragement in closing:
Right now we're just creating a generation of people that think someone owes you something. Guess what? No one owes you anything. When life gets tough and nothing's going right, you know what you need to do? Take a deep breath, think of the men and women overseas who are risking their lives for our freedom. And then look yourself in the mirror and fix yourself.

Below are the offending quotes from the nominees for the Celebrity Dumbass Award, starting with the winner, Ashley Judd:
"I mean, obviously, I love Hillary Rodham Clinton....And so seeing her talk about early childhood vulnerability and brain development. Man, that woman is stout. She is stout. So yes, I will be all in when the time comes....I think she might be the most overqualified candidate we’ve had since, you know, Thomas Jefferson or George Washington." — Actress Ashley Judd on Larry King Now, an Ora.TV show also carried on Hulu and broadcast on RT, the Russian TV channel, January 30, 2015.
"I always hear that the moon landing was the last great thing that America did. I think the last great thing America did was giving health care to 30 million people [applause]. I find that to be so much more of a significant achievement than landing on the moon." — Host Bill Maher on HBO’s Real Time, July 25, 2014.
"He is a clown in blackface sitting on the Supreme Court. He gets me that angry. He doesn’t belong there....This man does not belong in the Supreme Court. He is an embarrassment. He is a disgrace to America." — Actor George Takei, who played Mr. Sulu on Star Trek, talking about Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas in a June 30, 2015 interview with Fox 10 in Phoenix, Arizona.
