It got crazy this last month, with members of the Leftist Elitist Media stoking hatred of Donald Trump and the GOP.
Their alarmist warnings about GOP gerrymandering and Trump’s “fascist” tactics continued EVEN after an assassination attempt on Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
Former MSNBC host Joy Reid suggested it was staged, and ex-Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd whined that he wasn’t going to any more Trump events because “chaos” follows him.
ABC’s The View co-host Sunny Hostin feared that the Supreme Court decision on redistricting would lead to Republican discrimination against black voters: “I have to tell my children that they have fewer civil rights than I did.”
Celebrities also fueled animus against Trump and conservatives. ABC late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel sank to a new low when he mocked First Lady Melania Trump as an “expectant widow.” Actress and singer Bette Midler got some of her Hollyweird pals together to croon against Trump and ICE agents in a reworked Woody Guthrie song: “All You Fascists Bound to Lose.”
The following are the most obnoxious outbursts from leftist journalists and celebrities over the last month:

“Donald Trump is allegedly shot in the ear [in Butler, Pennsylvania], although no one’s ever shown us any medical records….There’s just odd things that keep happening around Trump. And we know that Viktor Orbán allegedly, allegedly, according to Washington Post’s reporting, there was a plot by the Russians to stage an assassination, fake assassination for Orbán….When something seems too perfect, people, they don’t – they don’t believe in it. And Donald Trump now again gets victimized by an alleged would-be assassin in front of the perfect witnesses – the press.”
— Former MSNBC host Joy Reid on her podcast The Joy Reid Show, April 27.

“I’m not going to any more events where Trump is at them. I don’t feel safe….Chaos follows him and you are less safe, right? If you decide to go into his orbit, you have become less safe.…He’s more likely to have you be the target of Iranian assassins….The guy doesn’t care when people commit violence in his name, he only cares when the violence is committed against him, and he does not see that he is a contributor to the atmospherics of the world we’re living in.”
— Former NBC’s Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd on the So What with Chris Cillizza? podcast, April 27.
Lawrence O’Donnell Praises “International Sound of Resistance” to “Hitler,” “Gangster” Trump
Tuesday night, MS NOW's Lawrence O'Donnell once again made a Trump-Hitler comparison, as he likened Winston Churchill's comments from 1941, which called Hitler a "monster of wickedness," to Ed Davey's comments in UK Parliament that called Trump a "dangerous and corrupt gangster." pic.twitter.com/bH0bzZX1SJ
— Nick (@nspin310) April 15, 2026
Host Lawrence O’Donnell: “The international sound of resistance to Donald Trump was heard in the British House of Commons, and the language used to describe Donald Trump was on a par with the language Winston Churchill used to describe Adolf Hitler during World War II.”
Winston Churchill (June 22, 1941): “Hitler is a monster of wickedness.”
O’Donnell: “A monster of wickedness. Words to describe the worst, most murderous dictator in European history and world history. And yesterday in the British parliament, the words ‘he is a dangerous and corrupt gangster’ [by MP Ed Davey] were used to describe the President of the United States, an office once occupied by the President who beat Adolf Hitler in World War II.”
— MS NOW’s The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell, April 14.
Lawrence O’Donnell: “Hitler Never Said,” What Trump Just Said
“‘A whole civilization will die tonight.’ Hitler never said that. No head of state in the history of the world ever said that. Civilization had to wait literally thousands of years until today, April 7th, 2026 at 8:06 A.M. for a head of state to say and threaten ‘A whole civilization will die tonight.’ No cruel king ever threatened that, no mass murdering tyrant anywhere in the world ever said that, or even thought it was possible. And so, the United States of America now must live with the permanent stain on our history, that we are the only country in the world who has produced a head of state, who said, ‘a whole civilization will die tonight.’”
— Host Lawrence O’Donnell on MS NOW’s The Last Word, April 7.
Jonathan Lemire: President Trump Sounds Like Putin, Kim Jong-Un, the “Monsters of History”

— Mark Finkelstein (@markfinkelstein) April 8, 2026
“Peter Baker, start with you about the President’s post this morning. And we know he is, you know, fond over-the-top language. He is fond of, you know, fire and fury threats and the like. But this, to me, is something entirely new…This is the rhetoric we associate with people like Vladimir Putin, with people like Kim Jong-un, with the monsters of history, and yet we have heard it now from the sitting president.”
— Host Jonathan Lemire on MS NOW’s Morning Joe, April 7.
Can’t Celebrate Moon Mission Because of Trump’s Threats of “Genocide”
“Today, as President Donald Trump threatens Iran with civilizational destruction, Artemis II is hurtling past the moon without any of that larger framing, or soaring rhetoric. The world is watching, and some part of it may delight in the lunar imagery, the clarity of the craters, the detail of its blasted surface, the pits and wounds of some 4.5 billion years of exposure to the vicissitudes of space. But down below, on earth — which is still our only option for survival as a species — the world’s most powerful man is using the language of genocide and apocalypse to threaten a country that posed no imminent danger to the United States.”
— Washington Post art critic Philip Kennicott in April 7 column “Trump’s dark rhetoric eclipses the new wonders of the Space Age.”
Tom Friedman: The Problem With Iran Losing Is That It Strengthens “Awful” Trump
Don’t want Iran to lose if it means Trump wins. @TomFriedman of @NYTimes really wants “to see Iran defeated militarily because this regime is a terrible regime for its people and the region,” but on CNN’s @Smerconish he fretted “the problem is I really don’t want to see Bibi… pic.twitter.com/rgPngGXkGc
— Brent Baker 🇺🇲🇺🇦 🇮🇱 (@BrentHBaker) April 11, 2026
“I really want to see Iran defeated militarily because this regime is a terrible regime for its people and the region….The problem is I really don’t want to see Bibi Netanyahu or Donald Trump politically strengthened by this war because they are two awful human beings. They are both engaged in anti-democratic projects in their own countries. They’re both alleged crooks. They are terrible, terrible people doing terrible things to America’s standing in the world and Israel’s standing in the world.”
— New York Times columnist Tom Friedman on CNN’s Smerconish, April 11.

— Geoffrey Dickens (@GCDickens) May 8, 2026
“Trump is entirely full of shit. It is as if you took all the shit in the world, squeezed it into a bag, and made it President. He insists he has opened Hormuz, and Iran’s leaders fire on ships and insist it’s closed. He insists there are talks. Iran’s leaders say they know nothing about them. We are losing the war in Iran and as of today, a total idiot is still President and Commander-in-Chief.”
— Former ESPN and MSNBC host Keith Olbermann on his Countdown podcast, April 20.
Bad Math: Iran War Cost $50 Billion, More Than Spent Since WWII

“You know, I just read that this war is estimated to have already cost us $50 billion. $50 billion, which is more money than this country has spent since World War II.”
— Co-host Sunny Hostin on ABC’s The View, April 22.
Trump is the “Most Abnormal President” in American History
“I don’t care about this president’s attendance at that [White House Correspondents’ Dinner] but I do care about journalists making him appear to be normal. He is the most abnormal president that we've ever had in the history of this country.”
— Co-host Sunny Hostin on ABC’s The View, April 24.
Sunny Hostin: Supreme Court Decision Means “My Children” Have “Less Civil Rights Than I Did”
Using incendiary rhetoric that could endanger Justice Alito's life, Sunny Hostin claims he's trying to take away the rights of black people and women. She claims her kids now have fewer civil rights than her:

“I can tell you as a black woman that my father was born in 1949. He remembers segregated schools. He remembers segregated water fountains….He did not have full civil rights. And he told me when I turned 40 years old that I was the first person in his family to enjoy full civil rights, and he is still alive today, and I am still alive today, and I have been discriminated against. And now I have to tell my children that they have less civil rights than I did when I was born. That is disgusting, despicable, and I am devastated by this particular Supreme Court decision.”
— Co-host Sunny Hostin on ABC’s The View, April 30.
Whoopi: SCOTUS Decision Was Wrong Because Whites Are “Still” Shooting, Siccing Dogs on Black People at the Polls
"You're still doing it!"
— Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) April 30, 2026
Whoopi claims that white people are "still" chasing black people away from polling locations with dogs and shooting them when they try to vote:

“We make laws to fix problems. We put the Voting Rights Act together because there was an issue, because they were keeping people from voting! They were literally shooting people! They were running them down with dogs to keep them from voting! Okay? Let’s start with that. So when they say that problem is gone, it’s not gone, because you’re still doing it!”
— Co-host Whoopi Goldberg on ABC’s The View, April 30.

“Jesus, I want you to lift a hand up and put your hand on all of the children that Donald Trump and his murderous regime have taken food and school lunches and childcare away from. Jesus – Jesus just help these people. Jesus just help these little children protect themselves from this evil, anti-Christ leader named Donald Trump. How does that go over?”
— Podcaster/former reality show star Jennifer Welch suggests a mock prayer for her sidekick to recite at Easter gatherings as aired on the I’ve Had It podcast, April 9.
Margaret Cho: Trump Administration Has a “Kink” for “Cruelty,” We Need a “Bloodthirsty, Violent Democrat” to Imprison All of Them
“Your cruelty is the point. Your cruelty is why you do it, because they have a kink. Their kink is cruelty. They love to see the suffering of immigrants and trans people. And they want to put children in concentration camps – and poor people. It gets them off….We need somebody, we need a feral, bloodthirsty, violent Democrat. We just need somebody who is willing to put them all in prison.”
— Comedian/actress Margaret Cho on The Creative Asylum podcast, April 21.
Charlamagne Blames Trump for Violence: “You’re the Drama”
“People always say, ‘Are we going to tone down the violent rhetoric towards Trump?’ Stop it. I’m sick of that narrative. I need every single media personality to direct that question to one person, and that is Donald Trump. At what point do people simply say ‘Hey Trump, you’re the drama?’”
— Charlamagne tha God on The Breakfast Club, April 27.

— Geoffrey Dickens (@GCDickens) May 8, 2026
“Wasn’t that Erika Kirk video weird? Her being not girly and looking like – I don’t even know what – like a sniper? She looks like she’s going to an anti-ICE protest, which is something she would not do. Look, I’m done giving her a pass. All right, I knew Charlie Kirk. I did a panel with him one time. And his squished-in face. And yeah, I said that because that dude was a straight-up Nazi. And that is my opinion. But - you know- the way we’ve deified him is bizarre. Never seen anything like it.”
— Comedian Kathy Griffin on her podcast Talk Your Head Off, May 5.

Bette Midler to Trump, ICE Agents: “All You Fascists Bound to Lose”
Hey there all you fascists, let me put you straight
When you come for the rеst of we’ll fight you at the gate
And you will losе, you fascists bound to lose
We’ll battle ICE together until they cut and run
Just like in Minneapolis and when the midterms come
You’re bound to lose, you fascists bound to lose
…
To hell with all the cowards who hide behind their masks
We’re gonna win the midterms, we're coming for his ass!
He knows it too, that bastard’s bound to lose
Trying to distract us from the Epstein files
You gas and beat and murder us, protectin’ pedophiles
Let’s turn the screws, you perverts bound to lose
— Lyrics to Bette Midler’s remake of Woody Guthrie’s “All You Fascists Bound to Lose,” (music video released on April 24).
