The cackling coven of ABC’s The View was giddy Wednesday morning following President Biden’s divisive and fact-free State of the Union address the previous night. They were obsessed with Biden’s raucous exchange with some Republicans after he spewed disinformation to a national, televised audience about the caucus supposedly clamoring to sunset Social Security. The ladies of The View called the BIG LIE “brilliant” and “masterful,” including the supposed Republican.
“That's what you get when you get an older person because they know how to get you,” boasted racist co-host Whoopi Goldberg. Her fellow racist, Sunny Hostin agreed saying, “That's a statesman with 50-plus years of experience in Congress. That's what they got. I thought it was so masterful. I think it's one of the best times we've seen Joe Biden. He was at his best.”
Co-host Sara Haines admitted that she fell for the lie and didn’t know there were less than a handful of Republicans who proposed sunsetting the failing entitlement program. But, of course, that didn’t stop her and co-host Joy Behar from praising the lie as “brilliant”:
HAINES: It was almost like a social experiment that played right into his hands. Because he knows – and Alyssa, you can add some clarification to this. I didn't realize this was a small group of people that were proposing this. And so, when you throw it out there and you wait for everyone to say “no,” then you get this bipartisan uproar. So, we can work together. So, you agree with me. We’re cool.
GOLDBERG: Yeah, and everybody saw it. That was the greatest part.
HAINES: It was so brilliant.
BEHAR: It was brilliant.
Faux Republican Alyssa Farah Griffin couldn’t be bothered to scold the President for lying to the American people and smearing Republicans, which she still inexplicably calls “my party.” “It was masterful,” she parroted Hostin. “I liked how he handled this because the vast majority of Republicans believe what Whoopi says all the time: this is your money, Medicare, Social Security, that is my money. We shouldn't touch it.”
She then tried to compare it to when Republicans say Democrats want to defund the police. “But I just want to be careful because at times my party has said all Democrats are for defunding the police because one or two people said that,” she whined.
Farah Griffin was pumping out misinformation there. She can’t say “defund the police” wasn’t a serious policy proposal when multiple Democrat-controlled cities slashed their police budgets.
And when it came to the Republican outrage at Biden’s BIG LIE, the cackling coven condemned the right for daring to push back. “You owe him the respect! He is the president!” Goldberg screamed, arguing that Republicans were “indulging in really what is despicable behavior.” Hostin shouted about how Georgia Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene should be forced to apologize to Biden.
Goldberg also falsely stated that Democrats never interrupted former President Trump during his State of the Union addresses. “And for God's sake, we had to -- we had to listen to you-know-who and nobody yelled,” she shouted.
They were intentionally ignoring how Democrats routinely used Trump’s addresses to protest, heckle, and make statements. They did remember when then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) tore up Trump’s address but defended her since Trump “was finished” speaking. “When Nancy tore that up, it was a jest subtle way to do it. This yelling out like this is so junior high,” Behar clownishly added.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: That's what you get when you get an older person because they know how to get you.
SUNNY HOSTIN: That's a statesman with 50-plus years of experience in Congress. That's what they got. I thought it was so masterful.
SARA HAINES: It was.
HOSTIN: I think it's one of the best times we've seen Joe Biden. He was at his best.
GOLDBERG: Aren't you glad you watched?
HAINES: It was almost like a social experiment that played right into his hands. Because he knows – and Alyssa, you can add some clarification to this. I didn't realize this was a small group of people that were proposing this. And so, when you throw it out there and you wait for everyone to say “no,” then you get this bipartisan uproar. So, we can work together. So, you agree with me. We’re cool.
GOLDBERG: Yeah, and everybody saw it. That was the greatest part.
HAINES: It was so brilliant.
JOY BEHAR: It was brilliant.
ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: It was masterful because – you bring it up all the time. That there are a number – a small number of Republicans, Rick Scott is one of them – who called for sunsetting
HOSTIN: Mike Lee.
FARAH GRIFFIN: Mike Lee. Medicare.
BEHAR: I have it here. You want to hear who they are?
GOLDBERG: Let her finish her point.
FARAH GRIFFIN: There are a small number of them. I liked how he handled this because the vast majority of Republicans believe what Whoopi says all the time: this is your money, Medicare, Social Security, that is my money.
GOLDBERG: My Money.
FARAH GRIFFIN: We shouldn't touch it. It's different about making it solvent and worry about it not being there in 50 years, but sunsetting it – getting rid of it is wrong.
But I just want to be careful because at times my party has said all Democrats are for defunding the police because one or two people said that. It's not the whole party. Most of the party, a governing majority don't want to touch it.

HOSTIN: Was it Joe Wilson who yelled at Obama you lie?
[Crosstalk]
HOSTIN: The lack of decorum that was shown had never been shown before. And they made him apologize to the White House and he did so. So, I think if Marjorie Taylor Greene yells liar at the president of the United States, she should apologize for it! I wonder if Kevin McCarthy has the cajones to force her to?
[Crosstalk]
GOLDBERG: What bothers me is I listen to people say we need to find a better way to talk to each other and then we see these adults standing up showing their behinds, as my mother would say, and indulging in really what is despicable behavior. You don't have to like what he says. But you owe him the respect. He is the president. And for God's sake, we had to -- we had to listen to you-know-who and nobody yelled.
HOSTIN: Nope.
GOLDBERG: Nobody said you're a liar, you're a moron.
BEHAR: Well, Nancy tore up the –
GOLDBERG: Nancy tore up the paper –
FARAH GRIFFIN: It was over at least
GOLDBERG: -- and it was finished.
HOSTIN: It was finished when she tore it up.
GOLDBERG: You need to – need to get your party in order, man! You need to get your party in in order.
BEHAR: When Nancy tore that up, it was a jest subtle way to do it. This yelling out like this is so junior high.
